    摘要: A tunable, extended range, multilayered ceramic chip capacitor for incorporation into a plurality of substrate designs of micro-miniature circuitry and hybrid integrated circuits, comprising a multilayered ceramic chip capacitor; said chip having an electrode pattern as both upper and lower electrode layers embedded within the dielectric, forming a homogeneous chip capacitor structure. The capacitance range of the said chip capacitor is extended by the addition of a rotor plate positioned over a portion of said electrode pattern by a rotor contact spring which also provides a rotor contact terminal, such that said rotor plate may be rotated over the stator portion of said electrode pattern to provide a precisely tunable extended range of capacitance, a stator terminal spring to provide means to grip said extended range chip capacitor and means for circuit connection.

    摘要: A ceramic trimmer capacitor comprising a cylindrical casing, a stator and a rotor comprising a rotor casing and a dielectric assembly consisting of a disk-shaped ceramic dielectric member, a semicircular dielectric layer formed upon the upper surface of the dielectric member and having a low dielectric constant less than 20 and a coefficient of thermal expansion substantially equal to the dielectric member and a rotor electrode formed on the whole surface of the dielectric member including the semicircular dielectric layer, the dielectric assembly being inserted into the rotor casing and electrically and mechanically connected thereto; the stator and the rotor being placed in the cylindrical casing and resiliently supported. Stray capacitance is almost negligible; the variable capacitance range may be considerably improved; and the mechanical strength may be increased. The ceramic trimmer capacitor is especially adapted to be used in an electronic watch.

    摘要: Herein disclosed is a variable porcelain condenser structure in which a rotor electrode and a stator electrode are arranged through a ceramic dielectric member. A stator is made of a ceramic dielectric member and formed with the stator electrode on its one side. A rotor is made of a metallic material and formed with the rotor electrode of generally semicircular shape on its one side. Both the stator and the rotor are mounted on the cylindrical bottom of an insulating frame. The aforementioned rotor, stator and insulating frame are held altogether in elastic contact with one another by means of a metal case having several elastic tongues.

    摘要: Micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) variable capacitor apparatuses, system and related methods are provided. According to one embodiment, a method for varying the capacitance of two conductive plates is provided. The method can include providing a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) variable capacitor. The variable capacitor can include first and second actuation electrodes wherein one of the actuation electrodes is movable with respect to the other actuation electrode when a voltage is applied across the first and second actuation electrodes. Further, the variable capacitor can include first and second capacitive electrodes. The method can include applying a voltage to the first and second actuation electrodes for movement of at least one of the capacitive electrodes in a substantially straight direction with respect to the other capacitive electrode upon application of voltage across the first and second actuation electrodes to change the capacitance between the first and second capacitive electrodes.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a variable capacitor in sealed structure having the following construction: Within an insulating case being opened at one side, a stator electrode and a rotor electrode are arranged in a state being opposed to each other through a dielectric plate. The rotor electrode is formed in one surface of a metal rotor rotatably arranged within the insulating case. The other surface of the metal rotor is directed toward the opening of the insulating case, on which other surface an adjusting groove is formed and a ring-shaped base portion of a resilient presser member is arranged in a state not obstructing the adjusting groove. Spring portions extend from the base portion of the resilient presser member, to be in contact with the other surface of the metal rotor. An annular sealing member is fixedly provided in the base portion of the resilient presser member. The sealing member encloses the spring portions, to be in contact with the metal rotor in the vicinity of the outer peripheral portion of the other surface thereof as well as the inner peripheral surface of the insulating case.
