摘要: A device includes an electrode stack including a plurality of conductive anodes, a plurality of conductive cathodes, a plurality of separators arranged between the conductive anodes and the conductive cathodes, and a dielectric material disposed on a surface of each of the conductive anodes. The stack has a top surface, a bottom surface, and an edge extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. A continuous electrically insulating film overlies the edge, peripheral portions of the top surface and peripheral portions of the bottom surface so that a central portion of the top surface and a central portion of the bottom surface are exposed. An electrolyte is disposed between the conductive anodes and the conductive cathodes.

摘要: An electrode foil for an electrolytic capacitor includes a metal foil that includes a porous portion and a core portion continuous to the porous portion. The metal foil has a main surface in which pores in the porous portion are open. The porous portion includes a plurality of recessed portions that are open in the main surface and distributed in a dot pattern in an in-plane direction of the metal foil. The pores in the porous portion have an opening length smaller than 2 μm, and the recessed portions have an opening length of 2 μm or more.

摘要: A capacitor and methods of processing an anode metal foil are presented. The capacitor includes a housing, one or more anodes disposed within the housing, one or more cathodes disposed within the housing, one or more separators disposed between an adjacent anode and cathode, and an electrolyte disposed around the one or more anodes, one or more cathodes, and one or more separators within the housing. The one or more anodes each include a metal foil that includes a first plurality of tunnels through a thickness of the metal foil in a first ordered arrangement, the first ordered arrangement being a close packed hexagonal array arrangement, and having a first diameter, and a second plurality of tunnels through the thickness of the metal foil having a second ordered arrangement and a second diameter greater than the first diameter.

摘要: Provide is an electrolytic capacitor for a middle-to-high voltage application that is equal to or higher than 100 V which suppresses the total amount of gas to be produced in the electrolytic capacitor. The anode foil of the electrolytic capacitor includes an enlarged surface portion provided with tunnel-shape pits formed from the foil surface in the thickness direction of the foil, and a dielectric oxide film formed on the surface of the enlarged surface portion. The cathode body of the electrolytic capacitor includes a cathode foil formed of a valve acting metal, and a carbon layer formed on the cathode foil.

摘要: A method of producing a capacitor electrode includes forming an oxide layer on a foil. The method also includes inducing defects in the oxide layer followed by reforming the oxide layer. The oxide layer is reformed so as to generate a reformed oxide layer that is an aluminum oxide with a boehmite phase and a pseudo-boehmite phase. The amount of the boehmite phase in the reformed oxide layer is greater than the amount of the pseudo-boehmite phase in the reformed oxide layer.

摘要: A hybrid polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitor and a method for manufacturing a capacitor are disclosed. In an embodiment a method for manufacturing a capacitor includes winding an anode foil, separators and a cathode foil around an axis to form a winding element, flooding the winding element with a polymer dispersion, wherein the polymer dispersion contains electrically conductive solid polymer particles or a polymer powder and a solvent and applying pulses of overpressure to the flooded winding element.

摘要: A composite electrode foil roll for manufacturing an electrolytic capacitor, including: bands of electrode foils; strips of an isolating material positioned along a width of the composite electrode foil roll at a plurality of locations. The plurality of locations are at equal distances and correspond to a length of an inner cavity of a case of the electrolytic capacitor. The bands of electrode foils and strips of an isolating material are alternating. A method of manufacturing the composite electrode foil roll including alternating bands of electrode foils and strips of an isolating material. The strips are positioned along a width of the composite electrode foil roll at repeated locations. The repeated locations are at equal distances corresponding to a length of an inner cavity of a case of the electrolytic capacitor.
