    摘要: This electric brake device includes: a brake rotor, a friction member, a friction member operator, an electric motor, and a controller which controls, by controlling the electric motor, a braking force generated as a result of contact between the friction member and the brake rotor. The electric brake device includes a vehicle speed estimator which estimates the speed of the vehicle having the electric brake device mounted thereon. The controller includes a power limiter which limits the power that drives the electric motor. When an estimated vehicle speed, which is the speed of the vehicle estimated by the vehicle speed estimator, is in a determined low-speed range, the power limiter limits the power in accordance with a condition that has been determined such that the maximum power consumption of the electric brake device decreases in accordance with decrease in the estimated vehicle speed.

    摘要: A combined hydropneumatic brake cylinder/air reservoir device having a hydraulic piston formed on the end of a push rod through which interconnected, different sized, pneumatic pistons operate to transmit the desired brake force. The hydraulic piston operates in a hydraulic cylinder having a slack adjuster piston arranged to supply or reduce the hydraulic fluid in the braking circuit in order to compensate for overtravel and undertravel of the pneumatic piston assembly due to brake shoe wear and brake shoe replacement respectively. The double-acting slack adjuster action results in the stroke of the pneumatic piston assembly being maintained constant to assure continued optimum operating efficiency.

    摘要: A triple valve for fluid operable braking is provided with an additional emergency braking valve portion which has its own pressure responsive member which is responsive to at least a predetermined reduction of brake pipe pressure relative to quick action chamber pressure in a given period of time to open a brake cylinder valve to apply pressure to the brake cylinder from a reservoir and open a vent valve to vent the brake pipe, the vent valve and the brake cylinder valve being arranged in line and having between them an accelerated release valve which on return movement of the pressure responsive member past its initial position, is allowed to open to connect brake cylinder to brake pipe until the latter are within a predetermined pressure of each other.
