摘要: An image capturing device includes: an image capturing element having a first image capturing region that captures an image of a photographic subject and outputs a first signal, and a second image capturing region that captures an image of the photographic subject and outputs a second signal; a setting unit that sets an image capture condition for the first image capturing region to an image capture condition that is different from an image capture condition for the second image capturing region; a correction unit that performs correction upon the second signal, for employment in interpolation of the first signal; and a generation unit that generates an image of the photographic subject that has been captured by the first image capturing region by employing a signal generated by interpolating the first signal according to the second signal as corrected by the correction unit.

摘要: An optical sensor, for sensing a sensing frame corresponding to a flicker period of ambient light, comprising: a pixel array, configured to perform N times of exposure operations via at least one pixel of the pixel array in N exposure time intervals to generate N sub-frames, wherein a summation of the N exposure time intervals equals to a sensing interval and the sensing interval is less than or identical to a first flicker period. The optical sensor adds the N sub-frames to generate a summing sub-frame. The sensing frame comprises the summing sub-frame. The adding operation can also be performed to digital signals generated from the sub-frames. The influences caused by the fluctuation of ambient light can be neutralized, since the frame or portion of the frame is sensed at least twice at different phases of a single flicked period. By this way, the conventional flicker issue can be improved.

摘要: A photoelectric conversion apparatus includes a pixel, an A/D conversion portion and an output circuit. The pixel includes first and second photoelectric conversion portions and an accumulation portion configured to accumulate a signal charge in a location other than the photoelectric conversion portions. The A/D conversion portion is configured to perform A/D conversions on signals based on signal charges generated in the photoelectric conversions. The output circuit reads out first and second signals based on first and second signal charges accumulated in the first and second photoelectric conversion portions during an electric charge accumulation period and a third signal based on a third signal charge generated in the second photoelectric conversion portion and accumulated in the accumulation portion during the electric charge accumulation period. Conversion periods for analog-to-digital conversion to be performed on at least two of the first, second, or third signals have different lengths.

摘要: The present technology relates to a solid-state image sensing device and an electronic device for reducing noises. The solid-state image sensing device includes a photoelectric conversion unit, a charge holding unit for holding charges transferred from the photoelectric conversion unit, a first transfer transistor for transferring charges from the photoelectric conversion unit to the charge holding unit, and a light blocking part including a first light blocking part and a second light blocking part, in which the first light blocking part is arranged between a second surface opposite to a first surface as a light receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion unit and the charge holding unit, and covers the second surface, and is formed with a first opening, and the second light blocking part surrounds the side surface of the photoelectric conversion unit.

The imaging unit sequentially outputs a plurality of pieces of image data in one frame period by performing readout nondestructively. The image processing unit generates difference image data by determining a difference between two pieces of image data, selects output image data from initial image data and the difference image data, and combines the output image data and normal readout image data included in the plurality of pieces of image data, to generate combination-result image data.

Pixels that will be exposed to high light intensity are reset later in the frame than pixels that will be exposed to lower light intensity.

There is provided a solid-state imaging device including a pixel array unit in which a plurality of pixels is two-dimensionally arrayed. The plurality of pixels includes a phase difference pixel for phase difference detection, the pixel array unit has an array pattern in which pixel units including neighboring pixels of a same color are regularly arrayed, and the phase difference pixel is partially not added when horizontal/vertical addition is performed on a pixel signal of a predetermined pixel in a horizontal direction and a pixel signal of a predetermined pixel in a vertical direction, in reading the plurality of pixels. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a CMOS image sensor having a phase difference pixel.-
