    摘要: An intelligent control method for a dry dense medium fluidized bed separator includes supplying air to fluidize a bed; estimating an initial bed density according to a washability curve of a raw coal; detecting a magnetic material content in the bed to obtain a real-time bed density, and adjusting the real-time bed density according to a result from an analysis on a deviation from the initial bed density; during separation, adjusting a medium addition amount and a scraper discharge speed to maintain a stability of a bed height; separating the raw coal in the dry dense medium fluidized bed separator to obtain a clean coal product; and detecting a product ash content of the clean coal product, comparing the product ash content with a target ash content, and if a difference between the product ash content and the target ash content exceeds an expectation, adjusting the initial bed density.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for the separation of oil shale from run of mine (ROM) oil shale containing particles of oil shale and refuse, which comprises conditioning the ROM oil shale with a coupling agent capable of selectively coating the kerogen hydrocarbons in the particulate oil shale to the substantial exclusion of coating the non-hydrocarbonaceous refuse, which coupling agent is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of an alcohol, at least one carboxylic acid, preferably containing from about 5 to about 28 carbon atoms and a ketone. Combined with said coupling agent is a fluorescent dye in a quantity to make the coated particles of oil shale fluoresce upon excitation to a degree sufficient to distinguish the coated oil shale particles from the substantially non-coated refuse. Exciting (e.g. as with ultraviolet light) the fluorescent dye coupled to the oil shale particles induces fluorescence and enables separating the fluorescing, coated oil shale particles from substantially non-fluorescing, non-coated refuse particles.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for separating a mixture that are capable of separating a mixture containing a plurality types of particles, using a countercurrent classification technique, even when there is little difference in density and particle diameter depending on the types of particles. In the present invention, a mixture containing first particles and second particles is separated using a separation tube 13 having the inverted-conical or pyramidal shape or a substantially inverted-conical or pyramidal shape. The first particles and the second particles are made of substances having different magnetic susceptibilities. A fluid is caused to flow upward through the separation tube 13, and the flow of the fluid is used to introduce the mixture into the separation tube 13. The first particles and the second particles are held in the separation tube 13 in a mixed state. A gradient magnetic field is applied to a region inside the separation tube 13 using magnetic field generation means 23, in the state where the first particles and the second particles are held in the separation tube 13. The magnetic field gradient of the gradient magnetic field has a vertical component.

    摘要: Apparatus and method for sorting scrap metal pieces dependent on the type of metal therein. The apparatus includes a conveyor and a feeding arrangement to feed the scrap metal pieces on to the conveyor, together with an X-ray fluorescence detector to examine each metal piece and determine the type of metal as a result of the characteristic X-rays emitted. A respective control signal is utilized to move pegs on the conveyor so as to permit the respective metal piece to exit from the conveyor along a respective path and to enter a bin for that particular type of metal. In this way scrap metal pieces of different metal are collected in different bins for subsequent processing.
