摘要: A method for creating a tapered spiral welded conical structure where the overall shape of the cone is first graphically slit axially and unwrapped, and then a series of construction arcs and lines are created to form the edge lines of a strip that can then be wrapped (rolled) to form a tapered conical structure. The edges of the spirally wound strip can be welded together, and a very large conical structure can thus be achieved. Various construction options are presented from a constant width strip to strip made from straight segments. Equations are given for the formation of the strips to enable those skilled in the art of spiral welded tubing to practice the invention.

摘要: A container is produced from a single-layered, helically bent sheet metal strip. In the strip's upper or lower border region a first helically running border portion of the strip is bent out via a helically running outwardly bent edge with a curved region toward the outside of the container as a protruding flange. A second helically running border portion is in the lower/upper border region. The border regions each border one another adjacently height-wise and are connected to one another in a fluid-tight manner via a continuous, helically running welded joint. The second border portion runs rectilinearly in the plane of the strip and the welded joint has a first and a second weld seam. The first and second weld seams are applied from the outside and the inside of the container, respectively, and the two weld seams are fused to each other in the weld route thereof.

摘要: A method for cutting a wound hose (1), made from mutually engaging windings (11, 12, 13, 14) of a metallic tape (2), with the wound hose (1) being welded in a predetermined axial area (10) and then cut within the area (10) essentially in a plane (6) extending radially, with the wound hose (1) being axially compressed in the predetermined area prior to welding such that in the area (10) a mutual contacting of the windings (11, 12, 13, 14) occurs. The welding is performed along a predetermined number of windings (11-14) in the area (10), and the welding energy required for welding the windings is introduced via the area of the winding hose into it. Additionally, an accordingly produced wound hose (1) is provided and a device suitable for its production.

Clamping device is freely assembled at a front end of the code member in a detachable and switchable manner, and synchronously rotate in accordance with instructions from a main computing-controlling member, so as to prevent the metal band plate from being loosened, thereby to manufacture the interlocking pipe efficiently.

摘要: Disclosed is a tubular core on which sheets of metal or other material can be wound and supported, for shipment, handling and dispersal, and a method for forming the core. The core comprises a metal sheet or strip which has a rectangular-ribbed cross-sectional profile of flattened ribs, and which is wound spirally into a tubular configuration. The core is formed by passing the strip through a plurality of roll-forming stands, to initiate forming and progressively form an arcuate ribbed sinusoidal profile, then a final roll-forming pass is used (or several such passes are used) to flatten the ribs of the profile so that the rectangular flattened ribs collectively form a support surface for the sheets which are wound and supported on the core.
