摘要: A method for manufacturing a welded structure and a welding apparatus capable of reducing formation of burrs are provided. The method for manufacturing the welded structure according to the present disclosure is the method for manufacturing the welded structure formed by spot-welding a laminate formed of three or more metal plates, at least one metal plate of the three or more metal plates being thinner than the other metal plates. This manufacturing method includes a step of energizing a welding point of the laminate while pressurizing it and causing a main current to flow through the welding point of the laminate and a step of continuously energizing the welding point of the laminate while pressurizing it and causing a large current that is larger than the main current to flow through the welding point of the laminate.

The fastener may be used to form an aluminum covered steel laminate via a hemming pattern of attachment. The fastener may have a solid shaft or have an extended reach and have features for interacting with the welding electrode. A variety of electrode tips may be employed to cooperate with the fastener.

摘要: An electric resistance welding method for a dissimilar metal joint used for welding a laminated structure, with an outer layer being composed of iron or iron-based alloy, and an inner layer being composed of a metal with a density of less than 5 g/cm3 or a melting point of lower than 800° C. The electric resistance welding method comprises an expulsion stage in which a light metal or low-melting-point metal in the middle of the laminated structure is separated in a splashing mode, so that a connecting structure is directly formed between iron or iron-based alloy layers in a welding interface to complete welding. According to the invention, the formation of brittle intermetallic compounds on the welding interface of the dissimilar joint can be avoided, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the joint and achieving reliable connection between dissimilar metals. The invention further provides a dissimilar metal joint.

摘要: Provided is a spot welding method by which welding can be successfully performed while inhibiting occurrence of expulsion. First to third metal plates W1 to W3 were welded in which ratio of total thickness to thickness of the first metal plate W1 is 7. In Example 1, peak current value A1 is 14.6 kA, effective current value A2 is 7.8 kA, peak duration T1 is 0 ms, and no-peak duration T2 is 5.9 ms. As a result, in Example 1, lower limit current value A3 is 6.9 kA, upper limit current value A4 is 8.42 kA, difference A5 between upper limit current value A4 and lower limit current value A3 is 1.52 kA, peak duration T1/no-peak duration T2 is 0, effective current value A2/peak current value A1 is 0.53, and rising time T3/falling time T4 is 0.79, furthermore, no expulsion occurs, and welding result was determined to be OK.

The method includes a first current applying step and a second current applying step. The first current applying step involves forming a nugget having a nugget diameter of 3√t or more and 4.5√t or less by setting a current value I1 (kA) and a weld time, where t is a thickness of the thinnest steel sheet among the overlapping steel sheets. The second current applying step involves growing the nugget by repeating a cooling step for maintaining a zero-current state for 10 ms or more and less than 160 ms and a current applying step for applying a current for 20 ms or more and less than 200 ms at a current value I2 (kA) greater than or equal to the current value I1 (kA).

摘要: A welding cell for a resistance spot welding, its use for resistance spot welding, and a welding method performed therewith are disclosed. The welding cell includes a system for implementing resistance spot welding technology, a data collecting system, a system for improving efficiency of data collection, and a processing, monitoring, and control system. The welding cell includes a data transmission priority manager for adjusting digit capacity, transmission rate and transmission frequency of the digitized signal, separately, for signals of each sensor, and a digital twin controller, which, based on the digitized signal, provides a control signal to the control unit for controlling the electromechanical actuators and moving the electrodes of the welding cell. The welding cell provides for resistance spot welding with predictable and controllable quality, increased performance and reduced requirements to the computing unit performance of the welding cell, and reduced costs for equipping the welding cell.

摘要: The present disclosure inhibits liquid metal embrittlement (LME) cracking and improves corrosion resistance in a welded joint obtained by spot welding a first steel sheet and a second steel sheet. In the welded joint of the present disclosure, a first plating layer is provided on a surface of the first steel sheet facing the second steel sheet, no plating layer is present on or a second plating layer is provided on a surface of the second steel sheet facing the first steel sheet, and a boundary plating layer is provided between the first steel sheet and the second steel sheet in a range of 0.5 mm from an end part of the corona bond toward an outside of the spot welded part. A higher tensile strength of a tensile strength of the first steel sheet and a tensile strength of the second steel sheet is 780 MPa or more, an area ratio of a MgZn2 phase at the cross-section of the boundary plating layer is 10% or more, and the first plating layer and the second plating layer satisfy a predetermined Relation I.
