摘要: Systems and methods for isolating a membrane during fabrication. The membrane is connected to a substrate wafer using a plurality of magnets of uniform dimensions formed into two or more magnet stack beams. The magnet stack beams provide a gap between the wafer and the membrane. The wafer connected to the membrane by the magnet stack beams is received by a substrate holder so that a space is present between the membrane and the substrate holder. The membrane is rinsed by immersing, soaking, and withdrawing the substrate holder and the wafer connected to the membrane by the magnet stack beams using a rinse bath solution.

摘要: A method for producing a ring with a toothing may involve (a) ring rolling a pre-ring to form a ring blank, (b) introducing a pre-toothing into the ring blank to form a pre-toothed ring, wherein the pre-toothing has teeth with a first tooth height, (c) heating, quenching, and tempering the pre-toothed ring to form a heat-treated pre-toothed ring, and (d) finish-toothing the heat-treated pre-toothed ring to form a ring with a toothing. The toothing may have teeth with a second tooth height that is greater than the first tooth height. Further, the introducing of the pre-toothing or the finish-toothing of the heat-treated pre-toothed ring may be performed by way of a metal machining process.

摘要: Provided are a method of for machining the outer circumference of a metal end cross-section, the method being capable of easily forming at least any of a deep groove, a deep recess, and a flange which are smooth and uniform in the longitudinal direction of a metal rod or metal pipe in the periphery of the cross-section of any of the end part of the metal rod or metal pipe, the drawn end part of the metal rod or metal pipe, and the hub hole forming part of the metal pipe; and a method for joining a metal component obtained by the machining method with another member. The machining method of the present invention is characterized in that: splitting is advanced by successively repeating press forming operation multiple times by using a slitting punch, in which a tip part has a sharp cutting edge, and the cutting edge is formed so as to have a shape equal to or partly equal to the outer shape of the cross section of a metal end part and so as to have a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the cross section of the splitting object; and in order to control the depth of metal cracking cleft created with each press forming operation, a pressing die for pinching the outside of a metal rod or at least a pressing die of one side of pressing dies for pinching the inside and the outside of a metal pipe is disposed while its position is moved according to the distance of a split portion.

摘要: A method of a forming a hollow, drug-eluting medical device includes utilizing a hollow wire having an outer member and a lumen of the outer member, and filling the lumen with a fluid to form a supported hollow wire. The supported hollow wire is shaped into a stent pattern. Openings are formed through the outer member. The supported hollow wire is processed to remove the fluid from the lumen of the outer member without adversely affecting the outer member, leaving the hollow wire shaped into a stent pattern. The lumen is filled with a biologically or pharmacologically active substance.

摘要: A manufacturing method includes providing a component, such as a superalloy aircraft component, with a substrate surface having damaged brittle compound particles from machining. The manufacturing method removes the damaged compound particles from the substrate surface without producing significant amount of new damaged compound particles in the substrate surface. In one example, the damaged compound particles are removed with an abrasive media. The method results in a machined substrate surface free from damaged intermetallic component particles.

摘要: A custom case for enclosing an item, and a method for making the same, are disclosed. The case includes an outer shell, and an inner base layer formed of an impression material such as impression foam. The impression foam can be used by compressing it with an item to be enclosed to produce a cavity. Thus, the cavity will be adapted to receive the item with a close fit. Preferably, the impression foam is then soaked with a glue such as a latex glue in order to cause it to be hardened. It may then be coated with a paint. A second layer may be added to the case also formed of impression foam to allow for a second item or set of items to be stored above the base layer. A method for making a custom case is also disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing an outer shell, providing the impression foam base layer, compressing the base layer, and preferably hardening the base layer using a glue. Optionally, the method also includes coating the base layer with a paint or stain. In other embodiments, the invention includes a customizable tray which can be adapted to fit items via impression material, and which can be adapted to fit within a drawer or other suitable place.

摘要: A method of roughening metal surfaces of a workpiece such as a cylinder bore of an internal combustion engine to improve the adhesion of layers thermally sprayed thereon. Uniform grooves are formed in the surface and ridges are arranged between the grooves. The grooves may be formed by a process such as turning, drilling, milling or rolling. The ridges are plastically deformed in order to form undercuts in the grooves, with the degree of plastic deformation of the ridges varying regularly in the longitudinal direction of the grooves. Local deformations are produced in the ridge, and these bring about regular undercuts in the groove. This makes it possible to produce the undercuts in identical dimensions with little effort. Furthermore, since the groove is now not completely constricted by undercuts, it can be filled more effectively with spraying material.
