    摘要: In a large format printer, a print head which includes a plurality of drive elements is provided with a head drive circuit which applies a voltage which is based on a first drive signal, a second drive signal, and a reference voltage signal which are input from a control circuit via a cable to the drive element. In a first flat cable and a second flat cable which configure the cable and which are in an overlapping state, a first wire which propagates a first drive signal is adjacent to a third wire which propagates a reference voltage signal, a second wire which propagates a second drive signal is adjacent to a third wire, and, in an overlapping direction, the first wire faces the third wire and the second wire faces the third wire.

    摘要: A small, compact multifunction printing device provides excellent ease of use with little possibility of slips and continuous paper jamming inside. The multifunction printer has a check processing unit and a continuous paper processing unit. The check processing unit has a U-shaped check conveyance path P1 that opens to the front of the printer and enables handling slips to be processed and the processed slips from the front of the printer. A continuous paper conveyance path P2 that conveys continuous paper fed from a paper roll in the roll paper compartment from the back to the front of the printer is formed on the inside of the check conveyance path P1, enabling replacing roll paper and removing processed continuous paper from the front. The conveyance paths P1 and P2 are independent of each other, the printing positions thereof are separated, and conveyed slips and continuous paper will not interfere with each other.

With the disclosed printing device, control means is operated in response to depression of a character key, on condition that a bold-face print mode is being set on, to print a character designated by the character key at different three or more print positions, including a first print position, a second print position spaced apart from the first print position along the print line so that a second dint formed in the second print position is not overlapped with a first dint formed in the first print position, and a third print position located between the first and second print positions to form a third dint to fulfil a un-printed area of the print sheet remaining between the first and second dints.

    摘要: In a printer for printing an attributed character by printing a character part and an attribute part separately, the invented printer or typewriter is so constructed that only an attribute part, e.g., an underline part or a bold face part, is printed in case a printed character is detected to already have the attribute, i.e., is underlined, or bold face, thereby preventing a character part of the printed character from being double printed. This results in improved quality in printed characters and in complete clear character erasures. The printer is also effective for overprinting attribute parts to over a desired range of printed characters.

    摘要: Apparatus for use in a dot-matrix type impact printer for printing each line of characters and/or graphic data in a selective one of a plurality of character fonts and/or formats. In one preferred embodiment, a manual selection is made corresponding to either a normal or compressed spacing between adjacent dot columns by selection of a registration array from a group of such arrays. Dual-channel reading means cooperate with the registration arrays for determining the position of a print head as it moves across a print line and for enabling a plurality of print wires to be selectively impacted against the paper document whenever the print head is in proper registration as determined by the selected array. Spacing between registration slits of each array is uniform but is different as between arrays. The selected array may be changed either manually or remotely. Upon completion of the printing of a line, control logic means returns the printer to a "selected" format. Double width characters may be printed utilizing any of the arrays. In an alternative embodiment, a horizontal format may be utilized to permit printing in only selected regions or columns.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a paper conveyance device includes a conveyance unit configured to convey long cut paper in a longitudinal direction, a measuring unit configured to measure a length of the cut paper in the longitudinal direction, which is conveyed by the conveyance unit, a reversal mechanism that reverses a front surface and a back surface to each other with conveying the cut paper, and a reversal unit configured to convey the cut paper in the reversal mechanism. The reversal unit conveys the cut paper at a first speed when the measuring unit measures that the length of the cut paper is less than a predetermined length, and conveys the cut paper at a second speed slower than the first speed when the measuring unit measures that the length of the cut paper is equal to or more than the predetermined length.
