    摘要: In an engine housing and transmission housing adapted to be moved axially together, an easily actuatable and releasable attachment means for joining the housings coaxially together so as to prevent relative rotation and axial separation. Retention grooves cut through interfitting non-rotation splines on the housings provide oppositely facing limit surfaces, with one retention groove also providing a pocket for an expandable and contractable retention ring. In a stored position, the ring is located outside of the root of the splines, so that the housings may be pushed together without resistance, which also serves to align the retention grooves. The ring is then contracted by a single turnable fastener, moving it out of the pocket and between the oppositely facing limit surfaces to prevent axial separation of the housings.

    摘要: A power take-off system and isolation mounting therefor including an isolation member mounted to a vehicle frame bracket. A support brace is fixably mounted to the isolation member. The support brace has mounted thereto a linear displaceable casting aligned to displace in a radial direction relative to the vehicle's engine torque shaft. The casting is biased in a nominal position. One end of a PTO shaft is rotatably supported within the casting. A first pulley is rotatably mounted to the PTO shaft in close proximity to the casting. The other end of the PTO shaft is rotatably mounted to a frame brace to permit limited pivoting of the PTO shaft thereabout. A second pulley and PTO clutch assembly is drivingly supported on the engine torque shaft and load supported by the support brace such that the belt tension loads between the first and second pulleys are isolated from the engine torque shaft.

    摘要: A beam and chain hoist assembly is provided including a longitudinally extending support beam having longitudinally spaced bearing surfaces adapted to engage support portions of the cab of an overland vehicle. The support beam is bifurcated at its front end to straddle the windshield post and is provided with lengthwise adjustment at its rear end. A carriage is provided having wheels adapted to move along the beam and carry the transmission longitudinally and first and second stops are provided on the beam to limit the travel of the carriage between a first position located generally above the transmission and a second position longitudinally spaced from the first position where the transmission may be removed from the cab of the vehicle. A chain hoist is suspended from the carriage including a saddle connector attachable to the transmission, and allowing it to move longitudinally, whereby an operator may raise, lower and longitudinally move the transmission with a minimal amount of effort.
