摘要: A vehicular camera system includes an attaching structure configured to attach at an in-cabin side of a vehicle windshield. A camera module accommodates a circuit board having circuitry disposed at both sides of the circuit board. An imager is disposed at a first side of the circuit board. The camera module includes a lens accommodated in a lens barrel. With the attaching structure attached at the in-cabin side of the vehicle windshield, and with the camera module attached at the attaching structure, the lens barrel protrudes from the casing and a portion of the lens barrel is partially disposed in a pocket defined by the stray light shield and the vehicle windshield. A coaxial connector is electrically connected to circuitry disposed at the second side of the circuit board. Image data captured by the camera module is transferred to an electronic control unit of the vehicle via the coaxial connector.

摘要: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having a driver monitoring camera and first and second near-infrared light emitting elements accommodated by a mirror head. The light emitting elements are oriented at the mirror head so that (i) a beam of light emitted by the first light emitting element would be directed toward a driver's region of a left hand drive vehicle if the mirror assembly were installed in the LHD vehicle, and (ii) a beam of light emitted by the second light emitting element would be directed toward a driver's region of a right hand drive vehicle if the mirror assembly were installed in the RHD vehicle. The system enables and/or operates the first or second light emitting element for a driver monitoring function responsive to indication that the mirror assembly is installed or will be installed in a LHD vehicle or a RHD vehicle.

摘要: A vehicular vision system includes a camera, a near-infrared light emitter operable to illuminate at least part of a region viewed by the camera, and an electronic control unit having an image processor. While the camera is capturing frames of image data at a first rate, the near-infrared light emitter is pulsed on/off at a second rate. The first rate is at least two times the second rate. First frames of image data are captured by the camera when the region is illuminated by light emitted by the near-infrared light emitter. The captured first frames of image data are processed at the ECU for a first vehicle function. Second frames of image data are captured by the camera when the region is not illuminated by light emitted by the near-infrared light emitter. The captured second frames of image data are processed at the ECU for a second vehicle function.

摘要: A vehicle data display system includes an electronic display installed within a vehicle, a 3-D sensor and an electronic controller. The 3-D sensor configured to scan areas forward of and along lateral sides of the vehicle producing point cloud. Each data point of the cloud data corresponding to a surface portion of a physical feature. Each data point includes distance, direction and vertical location of each surface point. The electronic controller is connected to the electronic display and the 3-D sensor. The electronic controller receives and evaluates the point cloud from the 3-D sensor generating a 3-D model of detected ones of the physical features around the vehicle including ground surfaces, non-drivable features and driving limiting features relative to the vehicle. The non-drivable features are features that have predetermined geometric relationships with adjacent ground surfaces such that caution is to be taken when driving over or on driving limiting features.

摘要: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having a mirror head accommodating a mirror reflective element and adjustable about a mounting structure. The mirror head is adjustable relative to the mounting structure to adjust a rearward view provided by the mirror reflective element. A driver monitoring camera is accommodated by the mirror head behind the mirror reflective element. With the mirror head adjusted to provide the rearward view, a normal vector extending perpendicular to the mirror reflective element is directed toward a driver side of the cabin of the vehicle and, responsive to determination that a passenger is present at a passenger side of the cabin of the vehicle, a principal viewing axis of the driver monitoring camera is angled more toward a centerline axis of the vehicle than the normal vector of the mirror reflective element.

摘要: A vehicular camera monitoring system includes a rearward-viewing camera, a driver-side camera, a passenger-side camera and a dual-mode interior rearview mirror assembly disposed at an interior cabin of a vehicle. The dual-mode interior rearview mirror assembly is operable in a mirror mode and a display mode. With the vehicle traveling along a road, and with the dual-mode interior rearview mirror assembly operating in the display mode, a video display screen displays video images derived at least in part from image data captured by the rearward-viewing camera, the driver-side camera and/or the passenger-side camera. The video display screen displays at least passenger-side video images of a passenger-side region sideward and rearward of the passenger side of the vehicle until a period of time elapses following a passenger exiting the vehicle from a passenger seat of the vehicle.
