    摘要： A driver seat airbag device includes an airbag cushion installed at a center portion 108 of a steering wheel of a vehicle which is configured to expand and deploy toward an occupant in a driver seat; and an inflator that supplies gas to the airbag cushion. The airbag cushion includes a steering side panel provided on the steering wheel side and an occupant side panel joined to the occupant side of the steering side panel. The shape of the expanded and deployed airbag cushion is such that the portion, which is the largest area of the cross section orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the steering wheel, is formed further toward the front side of the vehicle than the center portion between the frontmost portion of the steering side panel and the rearmost portion of the occupant side panel.

    摘要： A knee protection airbag device includes an airbag, an inflator, an airbag cover, and an attachment base which holds those and is to be attached to a vehicle body member. The attachment base includes a holding seat which is disposed in front of a body portion of the inflator and a folded portion of the airbag, and holds the body portion and the airbag attached by a fastening bolt of the inflator, and attachment seats which are arranged on left and right sides of the holding seat and are attached to the vehicle body member. The airbag cover covers a vicinity of the airbag folded and the body portion of the inflator on a rear side of the attachment base, is attached to the attachment base due to the fastening bolt being fastened, and provides a projection opening on a bottom side of the airbag cover.

    摘要： A vehicle comprising: an airbag device comprising a housing and an airbag, the airbag having a packed configuration and an expanded configuration, the airbag expanding through the aperture in the housing when moving from the packed configuration to the expanded configuration; a composite material panel positioned to cover the airbag device, the panel comprising a break line running over the panel, the break line being proximal to the aperture so that when the airbag moves to the expanded configuration the airbag forces the panel to tear along the break line; and a first protection flap, the first protection flap having an initial configuration where the first protection flap is located adjacent the airbag in the packed configuration and a deployed configuration where the first protection flap covers at least one edge of the panel that runs along one side of the break line when the panel has torn due to the airbag moving to the expanded configuration.

    摘要： A retaining cover that encapsulates a cushion which is stowed in a bulk stowed form in front of the regular seating position of the vehicle having a side surface retaining part wound around a side surface of the cushion in stowed form, a cloth-like part provided in a manner traversing vertically across the upper surface of the cushion in stowed form, and a weak part provided at a prescribed location on the cloth-like part that divides the cloth-like part to an upper piece and lower piece due to the expansion pressure of the cushion. If the cushion expands and deploys with the occupant in close proximity, the upper piece of the cloth-like part is sandwiched in between the cushion and the occupant, such that the upper piece restrains the upward deployment of the cushion.
