摘要: A process for the cracking of a carbon-containing feedstock to produce olefins includes contacting, in a reactor system, the carbon-containing feedstock with oxygen gas in the presence of a molten salt matrix consisting of a eutectic mixture of alkali metal carbonates, alkaline earth metal carbonates, or a mixture of any two or more thereof, to generate an olefin-containing product stream; and collecting an olefin from the olefin-containing product stream; wherein: the oxygen is fed with the carbon-containing feedstock in a gas stream comprising from greater than 0 wt % to about 21 wt % oxygen in an inert gas; the process is conducted in the absence of a catalyst comprising a transition metal, a transition metal oxide, a rare-earth metal, a rare earth metal oxide, or a combination of any two or more thereof; and the process is conducted in the absence of a glass-forming oxide.

摘要: Processes and systems for hydrocarbon pyrolysis. In some embodiments, a hydrocarbon can be heated within a convection section of a steam cracking furnace and combined with an aqueous fluid to produce a heated mixture. A heavy feed that includes a plastic material can be introduced into a vessel and a portion of the plastic material can be cracked therein. Liquid and vapor effluents exiting the vessel can be obtained. At least a portion of the liquid effluent can be heated to produce a heated fluid stream that can be recycled to the vessel. The vapor effluent can be combined with the heated mixture to produce a combined mixture that can be heated within the convection section to produce a heated combined mixture. At least a portion of the heated combined mixture can be cracked within a radiant section of the steam cracking furnace to produce a steam cracker effluent.

摘要: Furnace systems and methods for steam cracking hydrocarbons to produce ethylene and other light olefins are provided herein. A furnace system for cracking hydrocarbons includes a radiant firebox containing a plurality of burners and an injection nozzle, a primary transfer line exchanger fluidly coupled to and downstream of the radiant firebox, and a flow restrictor fluidly coupled to and downstream of the primary transfer line exchanger. The furnace system also includes a decoke vessel containing an effluent inlet, a fluid outlet, and a coke outlet, where the effluent inlet is fluidly coupled to and downstream of the flow restrictor and the fluid outlet is fluidly coupled to and upstream of the injection nozzle of the radiant firebox, and a coke collection bin is coupled to the coke outlet of the decoke vessel.

摘要: A tandem polyolefin depolymerization-metathesis process and system for converting polymer waste to smaller hydrocarbons, specifically liquid and gaseous products, which subsequently can be modified and used as feeds or co-feeds for making circular products such as circular ethylene and polyethylene. Specifically, the disclosed processes include a tandem depolymerization process step followed by a metathesis process to provide a effluent that can be separated, further processed with a subsequent depolymerization step, or both. The effluents can be supplied to downstream processing units such as a steam cracker or AROMAX® unit thereby providing an efficient method for converting polymer waste into useful circular products. Therefore, these processes and systems can expand the number of usable plastic waste streams and improve the economics of plastic waste recycling.

摘要: A process for producing light olefins comprising thermal cracking. Hydrocracked streams are thermally cracked in a steam cracker to produce light olefins. A pyrolysis gas stream is separated into a light stream and a heavy stream. A light stream is separated into an aromatic naphtha stream and a non-aromatic naphtha stream. The aromatics can be saturated and thermally cracked. The integrated process may be employed to obtain olefin products of high value from a crude stream.

摘要: An integrated process for upgrading a hydrocarbon oil feed stream includes solvent deasphalting the hydrocarbon oil stream; processing the heavy residual hydrocarbons in a gasification unit to form syngas and gasification residue; hydrotreating the deasphalted oil stream to form a C3-C4 hydrocarbon stream, a light C5+ hydrocarbon stream, and a heavy C5+ hydrocarbon stream; dehydrogenating the C3-C4 hydrocarbon stream to form propylene and butylene; steam enhanced catalytically cracking the light C5+ hydrocarbon stream; steam enhanced catalytically cracking the heavy C5+ hydrocarbon stream; passing at least a portion of the light steam enhanced catalytically cracked stream, the heavy steam enhanced catalytically cracked stream, or both to a product separator to produce a olefin product stream, a naphtha product stream, and a BTX product stream; and processing the naphtha product stream in the aromatics complex to produce benzene and xylenes.

摘要: In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a process for converting diesel to products comprising light olefins, benzene-toluene-xylenes (BTX), fluid catalytically cracked naphtha, pyrolysis gasoline, and pyrolysis fuel oil includes: introducing a diesel feedstream to a diesel hydrodesulfurization unit to produce a desulfurized diesel stream; introducing the desulfurized diesel stream to a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit to produce the fluid catalytically cracked naphtha, a light gas stream, and a cycle oils stream; introducing the fluid catalytically cracked naphtha to an aromatic recovery complex to produce the BTX and an aromatic bottoms stream; and introducing a paraffinic fraction of the light gas stream to a steam cracking unit to produce a light olefins stream, the pyrolysis gasoline, and the pyrolysis fuel oil.
