摘要: Cold-in-place asphalt recycling is disclosed. A foamed asphalt may be produced by injecting water and optionally compressed air into a hot asphalt stream. A lubricating surfactant may be added to the hot asphalt stream to improve performance. The foamed asphalt may be mixed with reclaimed material to provide a uniformly coated paving material that can compacted to a desired density.

摘要: The present invention relates to an asphalt composition comprising asphalt or an asphalt mixture and to a silicon carbide-containing binder that can be heated by means of microwaves. The silicon carbide is present in the binder in particle form, the equivalent diameter of silicon carbide particles contained in the binder is less than 60 μm. The invention also relates to a method for producing and/or renovating road surfaces or asphalt surfaces comprising at least one asphalt surface layer.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for preparing a hot-mixed asphalt mixture, and relates to the technical field of road engineering. In the present invention, asphalt and aggregates are preheated separately, where the aggregates include coarse aggregates and fine aggregates; the coarse aggregates, part of the fine aggregates and asphalt that are preheated are subjected to a first mixing to obtain a first mixture; the remaining fine aggregates are added to the first mixture for a second mixing to obtain a second mixture; and a mineral powder is added to the second mixture for a third mixing, and discharging is conducted to obtain a hot-mixed asphalt mixture.

In some examples, discrete material formats for use in an Additive Manufacturing Array are disclosed. Methods of using the additive manufacturing robot, discrete materials, and the roadways produced with the additive manufacturing robot are provided. A combined function Addibot, with Additive Manufacturing capabilities, cleaning capabilities, line painting capabilities and seal coating capabilities which may be used in concert with a camera equipped aerial drone for design and characterization function is described.

摘要: A pavement composition includes a recycled hot mix asphalt (HMA) sheet mix composition including more than 50% and up to 100% recycled fines mixed with a rejuvenating agent. The recycled fines of the HMA sheet mix are separated from a reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) composition and substantially all of the recycled fines are capable of passing through a sieve having an opening size of ⅜ inch (9.5 mm). Pavement systems include an existing pavement layer and a thin-lift overlay made of the recycled HMA sheet mix on the existing pavement layer. Pavement systems also include a three-layer system including a leveling course layer, an interlayer, and a surface course layer in which the leveling course layer and/or the surface course layer include a recycled HMA sheet mix composition.

摘要: Asphalt composition for road pavement, excellent in drying strength, strength after immersion in water, and strength after immersion in petroleum, method for producing same, and road paving method. Composition comprises asphalt, polyester, and aggregate. Polyester has alcohol component-derived constituent unit containing ≥65 mol % bisphenol A/alkylene oxide adduct and carboxylic acid component-derived constituent unit containing ≥50 mol % terephthalic or isophthalic acid. Composition has softening point of 95°−130° C., hydroxyl group value of 20-50 mgKOH/g, and ratio of polyester resin of 5-50 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the asphalt. Production method comprising mixing asphalt, the polyester, and aggregate at 130-200° C. for ≥30 seconds. Polyester resin is mixed in ratio of 5-50 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of asphalt. Road paving method comprises laying asphalt composition obtained by production method as set forth, thereby forming an asphalt paving material layer.

摘要: The first priority of this invention is to provide the composition and the manufacturing method of a novel highly visco-elastic warm-mix modifier that can be added to asphalt binders for the purpose of reducing environmental pollution, saving natural resources by recycling RAP aggregates, reducing construction cost, and minimizing maintenance cost by extending pavement life-cycle. The highly visco-elastic warm-mix modifier may be manufactured by adding highly viscous and general purpose polymers to elastic polymers in the warm mix modifier. Warm mix additives, including waxes, oils and elastic materials, may also be introduced to the highly visco-elastic warm-mix modifier. In more details, the invention is characterized to manufacture the novel modified recycled (or regular) warm-mix asphalt concrete mixture by heating and mixing 0.5-20 weight parts of the highly visco-elastic warm-mix modifier.
