    Abstract: A distance measuring device according to an embodiment includes a first device including a first transceiver configured to transmit a first known signal and a second known signal and receive a third known signal corresponding to the first known signal and a fourth known signal corresponding to the second known signal, a second device including a second transceiver configured to transmit the third known signal and the fourth known signal and receive the first and second known signals and a calculating section configured to calculate a distance between the first device and the second device on a basis of phases of the first to fourth known signals, and the first transceiver and the second transceiver transmit/receive the first and third known signals one time each and transmit/receive the second and fourth known signals one time each, performing transmission/reception a total of four times.

    Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a transmit point that transmits a downlink chirp sensing waveform (DL CSW) signal. A device receives the DL CSW signal and obtains a cloned chirp sensing waveform. The cloned chirp sensing waveform includes a parameter that can be uniquely associated with the device. The device transmits a UL cloned CSW signal based on the cloned chirp sensing waveform. The transmit point receives the UL cloned CSW signal and processes the UL cloned CSW signal to estimate a pose for the device and associate the estimated pose with the identity of the device.

    Abstract: A frequency modulated continuous wave radar system includes at least one identity tag, respectively disposed next to at least one test subject; and a frequency modulated continuous wave radar identity recognition device, including an identity recognition control module, for controlling a test identity tag of the at least one identity tag to be turned on to generate a specific tag reflection signal corresponding to an identity frequency in response to a chirp signal; and a frequency modulated continuous wave radar, for transmitting the chirp signal and receiving at least one reflection signal of the at least one test subject and the specific tag reflection signal in response to the chirp signal, to calculate and determine that the specific tag reflection signal and a specific reflection signal of the at least one reflection signal are corresponding to an adjacent position information. The specific reflection signal is corresponding to test subject information.

    Abstract: Electronic devices and methods to provide wireless ranging are shown. A first electronic device includes a memory containing stored instructions that can perform a method for determining a distance between the first electronic device and a second electronic device. For each frequency in a selected set of frequencies, the method sets the transceiver to the respective frequency, sends a first tone having the frequency and a first phase to the second electronic device and receives a second tone having the first frequency and a second phase. For each selected frequency, the first electronic device determines the phase difference between the second tone and the controllable oscillator, receives a phase difference from the second electronic device, and calculates a phase delay for the frequency. The first electronic device calculates a phase delay difference for pairs of the frequencies; and determines the distance using these phase delay differences.

    Abstract: A circuit includes a transmission channel that outputs a continuous-wave signal based on a reference signal, a transmit monitoring signal path that couples out a portion of the transmit signal as a monitoring signal, a test phase shifter that receives the reference signal and generates a phase-shifted signal based on a sequence of phase offsets applied to the reference signal, a phase mixer that mixes the phase-shifted signal and the monitoring signal to generate a mixer output signal including a plurality of direct current (DC) values, an analog-to-digital converter that samples the mixer output signal in order to provide a sequence of DC values; and a monitor circuit that applies a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to the sequence of DC values to generate a plurality of DFT bins with corresponding DFT bin values, and generate compensated phase information of the transmission channel using at least two DFT bin values.
