Abstract:
Abstract:
An apparel textile yarn comprising a polyamide, wherein the polyamide comprises a nylon and a polyetheramine, wherein the polyetheramine has a molecular weight of at least 1500,an Amine Hydrogen Equivalent Weight (AHEW) of less than 10 percent higher than the idealized AHEW for the polyetheramine, and wherein the polyamide may have a moisture regain ranging from about 10% to about 30%.
Abstract:
A contact nozzle (2) for coating an elastic strand (12) with an adhesive (14). Air (1 8) is discharged at the adhesive (14) in contact with the strand (12), causing the adhesive (14) to spread around the periphery of the strand (12). The air (18) assists with release of the adhesive (14) from the nozzle (2) and also cleans the nozzle (2) to discourage adhesive build-up on the nozzle (2).
Abstract:
A device for monitoring athletic activity of a user. In one example, the device has a sensor, and executes a calibration process using data received from the sensor to determine a correct positioning of the device on the user.
Abstract:
A method of forming a nonwoven article comprising receiving fibrous material comprising thermoplastic fibers; processing the fibrous material to produce short fibers, wherein the processing step comprises granulation using at least one granulator with a screen; distributing the short fibers approximately evenly across an area to form a short fiber web, wherein the distributing step comprises a use of a recyciate spreader; heating the short fiber web to fuse the short fibers to form a nonwoven material; and forming a sheet of the nonwoven material.

Abstract:
There is described a system, article, method, connecting means and apparatus for article reuse or recycling, which system comprises the assembling of an article from at least two components at least one of which comprises a textile material brought into communication with each other through one or more connecting means and the subsequent disassembling of the article and use of one or more of the components in the assembling stage. The assembled article is susceptible to automatic or semi-automatic disassembly through one or more of its connecting means being susceptible to a reduction in one or more mechanical properties under exposure of the article to electromagnetic energy especially microwave. The article may be a garment that has joins stitched with a microwave susceptible yarn. The yarn is ideally manufactured from pseudo-conductive materials and is metal free.
Abstract:
A utility glove comprising a three dimensional molded portion formed of an elastomeric material molded onto a fabric material, wherein the molded portion has a thickness of from about 0.8 to about 10.8 mm with the elastomeric material including two or more areas of differing thicknesses within the range of from about 0.4 to about 10.0 mm. The molded portion of the utility glove has a concave palm, with the middle of the palm being set in from the edges to form a concave configuration. The utility glove is manufactured by placing a glove blank comprising a fabric material over a first mold part in the form of at least a portion of a hand and bringing at least one second mold part into molding engagement with the first mold part to create a cavity with the glove blank on the first mold part. The elastomeric material is then injected into the cavity to form a molded portion, wherein the elastomeric material is injected on the side of the fabric material opposite the first mold part.
Abstract:
Plastic cover materials having the appearance and texture of cloth for upholstery and trim panel applications are formed by solidifying a composition onto a textured surface.
