A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product are disclosed to manage access to device information. The system may include a plurality of devices configured to provide device information to a device management server. The system may also include a remote server including the device management server. The device management server may be configured to receive the device information, to determine a receiver for the device information based on one or more permission settings for the plurality of devices, to provide the device information to the determined receiver, and to provide a device management interface, the device management interface comprises an interface for modifying the permission settings for one or more particular devices associated with a user account accessing the device management interface.

A system for publishing digital images wherein a mobile device (14) that stores at least one digital image generates output signals in response to operator commands. The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. The mobile device is thereafter in selective communication with a server (12) that stores digital images, maintains a user profile corresponding to the user of the mobile device, and publishes digital images to at least one digital address (24, 26, 28, 30).

A method for operating a mobile device. The method includes receiving a software application for the multifunctional document processing device by the mobile device, establishing a local connection with the mobile device to a multifunctional document processing device, and generating with the software application a service request by the mobile device, wherein the service request includes service request data. The method further includes transmitting the service request with the software application to the multifunctional document processing device and receiving, by the software application of the mobile device, return data in response to the service request from the multifunctional document processing device. The mobile device does not provide a location of the mobile device to a service provider of the mobile device.
Abstract:
A method for determining an interest level of a digital image to a particular person. The digital image, or metadata associated with the digital image, is analyzed to designate one or more image elements in the digital image. Familiarity levels of the designated image elements to the particular person are determined. The interest level of the digital image to the particular person is then determined responsive to the determined familiarity levels. In some embodiments the image elements include persons and scene contexts, where digital images containing more familiar persons and less familiar scene contexts correspond to higher interest levels.

In one embodiment, a processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to receive a selected destination to which to send a job of a particular type, and pass the job, including the selected destination as a job parameter, to a job engine whose function matches the particular job type. The processor further matches the selected destination with a delivery agent that supports destination data associated with the selected destination and that is registered to receive a notification of the selected destination. The processor passes to the delivery agent, the destination data and a document reference to identify a document generated by the job engine from the job, and uses the document reference and the destination data to direct the delivery agent to retrieve the document and transmit it to the selected destination.

A remote user interface (RUI) for a personalization document printer of an instant issuance system is provided. The RUI includes a printer functionality component and a server functionality component. The server functionality component is configured to allow, for example a user to control user authentication to use the printer, control print queues of the printer, control print workflows of the printer, control RUI configuration, control remote access to printer user functions and a print preview displaying an image of the customized personalization document with image data and personalization account data, control storage and rendering of data to be placed on a customized personalization document, lock and unlock access to supplies and/or personalization documents in the personalization document printer, access administrative functions, and provide quality assurance functions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to automated document processing and more particularly, to methods and systems for document image capture and processing using mobile devices. In accordance with various embodiments, methods and systems for document image capture on a mobile communication device are provided such that the image is optimized and enhanced for data extraction from the document as depicted. These methods and systems may comprise capturing an image of a document using a mobile communication device; transmitting the image to a server; and processing the image to create a bi-tonal image of the document for data extraction. Additionally, these methods and systems may comprise capturing a first image of a document using the mobile communication device; automatically detecting the document within the image; geometrically correcting the image; binarizing the image; correcting the orientation of the image; correcting the size of the image; and outputting the resulting image of the document.
