Abstract:
A straight joint and method for connecting two adjacent construction elements such as sandwich panels, so as to reduce or minimize thermal bridging across the elements. The sandwich panels each have a core (33, 33'), an outer layer (32, 32'), a cavity (37) defined by a portion of the core, and a pathway (32c 32c') through the outer layer to the cavity. The panels are erected such that the panel cores are in contact with one another. Bonding material (40) is injected into the cavity through the pathway to seal the joint and maintain the panels in fixed relation to one another.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a source material with a view to manufacturing a fibre-reinforced plastic casting using said source material according to a known forming process. To produce the source material, fibres and solid-state synthetic plastic are separated and placed in a mixing chamber of a die press, the fibres being first cut to the right length (less than 30 mm), preferably less than 20 mm and ideally less than 10 mm, and the plastic is introduced in a granular form into the mixing chamber, where both the plastic and the fibres are duly mixed to a solid plastic mixture and carried to the opening-fitted die of the die press. In the area upstream of or inside said openings, the solid plastic mixture is warmed up. During or after the warm-up process, the fibres are embedded, at least partly, in the plastic material, and/or sunk therein, at least partly. Finally, the material carried across the die is crushed and used as a granular source material in the subsequent forming process.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composite web comprising one elongated flat composite layer of mutually parallel fibres in a matrix, in which the fibres run at an angle alpha (differing from 0 DEG ) relative to the lengthwise direction of the web, and which in the lengthwise direction is made up of joined-up and connected web parts. This composite web can be used for continuously producing multi-layer composites. The composite layer of the composite web has no areas with overlap or gaps when placed in a multi-layer composite. The invention also relates to a method for the production of this composite web and of multi-layer composites.
