Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for protocol mapping. According to an embodiment of the application, the protocol mapping is based on a non-compiled editable file (e.g. XML file) that describes the protocol mapping. Therefore, the protocol mapping can be updated by updating the non-compiled editable file without updating any compiled software. This allows the protocol mapping to be updated to reflect any changes to communication protocols that may occur without having to update any compiled software. Difficulties traditionally associated with updating protocol mappings can be avoided by not having to update compiled software.
Abstract:
A process and apparatus to facilitate communication between callers and callees in a system comprising a plurality of nodes with which callers and callees are associated is disclosed. In response to initiation of a call by a calling subscriber, a caller identifier and a callee identifier are received. Call classification criteria associated with the caller identifier are used to classify the call as a public network call or a private network call. A routing message identifying an address, on the private network, associated with the callee is produced when the call is classified as a private network call and a routing message identifying a gateway to the public network is produced when the call is classified as a public network call.
Abstract:
A method, mobile terminal, and system for selectively establishing an outgoing caller ID on a mobile terminal served by a wireless network, for identifying a line called on a mobile terminal, and for directing a call from a mobile terminal to a network subscriber based on accessed information of the subscriber in the subscriber's network.
Abstract:
A system, server, and method of DTMF detection in a VoIP network, comprising the step of : a VoIP call server anchoring a bearer stream within a VoIP call path of an active two party session to facilitate detection of DTMF digits in an RTP media stream of packets.
Abstract:
A system and method for consolidating media signaling to facilitate IP telephony includes receiving a first message exchange in a first protocol from a first endpoint to negotiate a media path with a second endpoint. It is determined to consolidate the first message exchange with additional message exchanges received from the first endpoint in the first protocol. A second message exchange is received in the first protocol from the first endpoint, and information derived from the first message exchange and the second message exchange is consolidated. A first message exchange in a second protocol is initiated to the second endpoint according to the information consolidated from the first and second message exchanges in the first protocol. One or more media flows is facilitated over the media path between the first and second endpoint s according to the first and second message exchanges in the first protocol and the first message exchange in the second protocol.
Abstract:
A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.
Abstract:
There are provided measures for codec mode handling in enhanced single radio voice call continuity scenarios. Such measures in a mobile communications network allowing a voice communication between a first communication endpoint and a second communication endpoint respectively using packet switched access or circuit switched access for said voice communication exemplarily comprise receiving a first invitation message indicative of an initiation of a voice communication by said first communication endpoint, said first invitation message including information on a first codec to be used in case said first communication endpoint uses packet switched access for said voice communication and said second communication endpoint uses packet switched access for said voice communication, adding, to said first invitation message, information on a second codec to be used in case said first communication endpoint uses circuit switched access for said voice communication and said second communication endpoint uses packet switched access for said voice communication, wherein said information on said second codec comprise a first available mode set for said second codec supported by said mobile communications network for circuit switched access of said first communication endpoint, and transmitting, towards said second communication endpoint, said invitation message.
