摘要： A wireless mobile device, wireless communication system and method for automatically switching data channels in the wireless mobile device uses a content stamp matrix that includes content features and time stamps of services available on the data channels to determine at least one of the content features that matches any of reference content features in a content feature preference list. A matched content feature is then used to automatically switch to a data channel of a service associated with the matched content feature using a time stamp that correspond to the matched content feature based on priority of a matched reference content feature in the content feature preference list.

摘要： Music and non-music portions in an audio stream are identified. The audio stream is digitized and segmented into frames. Selected frames are passed through a filter bank which includes filters having bandwidths approximately proportional to their center frequencies. The spectral flux for each selected frame is calculated and smoothed. Frames having a smoothed spectral flux below a threshold value are associated with music, and frames having a smoothed spectral flux above a threshold value are associated with non-music.

Samples can be initially taken at random for identification. Once a sample is identified and segmented within the data stream, the next time to sample may be calculated to be outside the time frame of the identified sample. Thus, the sampling period can be adaptively adjusted to be at times after identified tracks.

摘要： A method for selection of content on a device allows a radio to scan (406) for desired (e.g. audio) selections being broadcast in accordance with a defined priority list that has been pre-stored (404). A found selection is played (408) in order of priority and then placed back (410) in the priority list in accordance with a prioritization logic. Desired content is identified by a digital signature or audio clip, for example. Associated with the identifier can be user interface settings (400), such as audio controls, and even vehicle settings such as window position, sun roof, moon roof, or convertible roof top, for example. The user interface can be used to store (402) and sort identifiers and to provide control settings to the user in audio or video format.

A disclosed system includes a base metering device and at least one portable metering device. The base metering device is disposed within a viewing area of one of a plurality of media presentation devices. Further, the base metering device is configured to emit a signal. The at least one portable metering device is configured to receive the signal when located within the viewing area and to collect viewing data reflecting viewing of any of the plurality of media presentation devices by at least one viewer. Accordingly, the at least one portable metering device uses the signal to identify all or a subset of the viewing data as being associated with viewing of the one of the plurality of media presentation devices depending on whether the signal is received.
