The method comprises introducing a nucleic acid comprising a regulatory region active in the plant and operatively linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding a modified influenza hemagglutinin (HA) protein into the plant, or portion of the plant, the modified HA protein comprises a modified proteolytic loop. Followed by incubating the plant or portion of the plant under conditions that permit the expression of the nucleic acids, thereby producing the VLP. The modified proteolytic loop may comprise one or more protease cleavage sites exhibiting reduced or abolished cleavage by a protease. The nucleotide sequence encoding the HA may be selected from the group consisting of B HA, C, H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H12, H13, H14, H15, and H16. Also described is a virus like particle (VLP) produced by the method, and plants expressing the VLP. The virus like particle (VLP) may comprise plant-specific N-glycans, or modified N- glycans.
Abstract:
A method for detecting and diagnosing a gaseous fuel leak in a dual fuel internal combustion engine system comprises producing a fault signal indicating that there is a leak of gaseous fuel into liquid fuel when an amount of gaseous fuel is detected in the liquid fuel return line through which liquid fuel is returned from the fuel injector to the fuel supply. The method can further comprise diagnosing a failure of the fuel injector or of at least one of the system components which regulate the gaseous fuel and the liquid fuel supply pressures by evaluating if an amount of gaseous fuel has been detected in the liquid fuel return line and calculating the pressure differential between the liquid fuel rail pressure and the gaseous fuel rail pressure.
Abstract:
A method of producing a picornavirus-like particle (PVLP) in a plant is provided. The method comprises introducing a first nucleic acid and a second nucleic acid into the plant, portion of the plant, or a plant cell. The first nucleic acid comprising a first regulaton region active in the plant operatively linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding a picornavims polypeptide. The second nucleic acid comprising a second regulaton region active in the plant and operationally linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding one or more picornavims protease. The plant, portion of the plant, or plant cell is incubated under conditions that permit the expression of the nucleic acids, thereby producing the PVLP. A PVLP comprising the polypeptide is also provided.

A method of producing a virus-like particle (VLP) in a plant is provided. The method comprises introducing a first nucleic acid into the plant, or portion of the plant. The first nucleic acid comprising a first regulatory region active in the plant operatively linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding one or more rotavirus structural protein for example but not limited to rotavirus protein VP2. The nucleotide sequence may further comprise one or more than one amplification element and/or a compartment targeting sequence. A second nucleic acid might be introduced into the plant, or portion of the plant. The second nucleic acid comprises a second regulatory region active in the plant and operatively linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding one or more rotavirus structural protein, for example but not limited to rotavirus protein VP6. Optionally, a third nucleic acid and/ or fourth nucleic acid might be introduced into the plant, or portion of the plant. The third nucleic acid comprises a third regulatory region active in the plant and operatively linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding one or more rotavirus structural protein, for example but not limited to rotavirus protein VP4. The fourth nucleic acid comprises a fourth regulatory region active in the plant and operatively linked to a nucleotide sequence encoding one or more rotavirus structural protein, for example but not limited to rotavirus protein VP7. The plant or portion of the plant is incubated under conditions that permit the expression of the nucleic acids, thereby producing the VLP.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for enhancing cell wall properties in plants. The method comprises introducing into the plant, at least one nucleotide construct comprising a nucleic acid molecule operatively linked to a regulatory region active in the plant, wherein said nucleic acid molecule encodes a polypeptide with galactinol synthase (GolS)-like activity and growing the plant under conditions that permit the expression of the nucleic acid, thereby enhancing the cell wall property of the plant.
Abstract:
A dual fuel injection valve with concentric needles comprises an inner needle and an outer needle surrounding the inner needle, both needles being located inside the injection valve body. The valve is provided with a first set and a second set of orifices for separately injecting two different fuels directly into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The outer needle is fixed against rotation with respect to the injection valve body such that an interlace angle between the centerlines of the first series of orifices and second series of orifices is set at different predetermined angles to reduce methane emissions.
