Abstract:
An article with different surface properties on opposing sides is provided including a sheet having a first side and a second side, wherein the first side displays low adhesion properties, said first side comprising a roughened, porous or structured surface and a wetting liquid disposed upon the surface to form a stable liquid film; and wherein the second side displays a second property dissimilar from that of the first side. The article can be adhered to a variety of objects to impart anti-fouling properties.
Abstract:
A transparent pressure sensitive adhesive sheet with a front surface and a back surface, fabricated by changing the intensity of the ultraviolet light irradiation between the front surface and the back surface. The transparent pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is obtained by ultraviolet light irradiation of an ultraviolet light hardening pressure sensitive adhesive sheet that contains a (meth)acrylic copolymer, a cleavage type photoinitiator, and an ultraviolet light absorber. The amount of ultraviolet light irradiation varies between the first surface and the second surface and the adhesive force varies between the first surface and the second surface.
Abstract:
A tape that includes a cellulosic substrate defining a first surface and an opposing second surface; a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on the first surface of the cellulosic substrate; and an encapsulated fibrous material disposed on the first surface of the cellulosic substrate or the second surface of the cellulosic substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an object construction device configured to enclose a specified assembly area and assemble objects, such as toys, using standardized interlocking assembly units. The construction device includes processor with a memory device configured to access an instruction set encoding the assembly instructions of the object. The processor executes the instruction set in order to control and direct an assembly unit manipulator to additively construct or assemble the object from the interlocking assembly units. The assembly units are configured with surface features that interconnect the assembly units such that once connected they are substantially permanently attached to one another.
Abstract:
A foam tape having a multi-layer structure comprising a polyurethane foam core layer, at least one tie layer, adjacent one side of the polyurethane foam core layer, a first PSA film on one side of the first tie layer and a second PSA film, either on one side of a second tie layer or on one side of a polyester layer directly adjacent the opposite side of the polyurethane foam core layer, and a double-sided release layer on one side of the first PSA film. The foamed tape can be made by a process comprising applying a polymeric film to a first release layer to form a supported tie layer, referred to as Intermediate Product A, coating and drying a PSA composition on a second release layer to form a supported PSA coating, referred to as Intermediate Product B, laminating Intermediate Product B to Intermediate Product A which, after removing the release layer on the tie layer, forms Intermediate Product C comprising, in sequence, release layer, PSA film, and tie layer. A polyurethane foam precursor composition can be coated between a first and second Intermediate Product C, and the composition cured to form a polyurethane foam core layer.
