Die Erfindung betrifft ein Getriebe für ein Elektrofahrzeug, mit einer elektrischen Maschine mit einer Antriebswelle, einem ersten Schaltelement, einem zweiten Schaltelement und einem Schaltgetriebe, wobei durch Betätigen des ersten Schaltelements und/oder des zweiten Schaltelements ein Gang des Schaltgetriebes einlegbar ist. Das Getriebe ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die elektrische Maschine mit einer Fluidpumpe stets triebtechnisch verbunden ist.

The present invention provides, with reference to Figure 1, a power train for an amphibian operable in land and marine modes. The power train comprises a prime mover, a first land propulsion device, a first marine propulsion device and a speed change transmission. The prime mover is arranged to drive the first land propulsion device through/via the speed change transmission in land mode. The prime mover, or at least a portion thereof, is located between the speed change transmission and a rearward most part of the amphibian, with the speed change transmission located spaced ahead of, in front of, the prime mover.

The invention provides a gearing assembly (1) comprising a rotary input member (5) and a rotary output member (2) and a gearing arrangement between the input member (5) and the output member (2) selectively engageable to effect a driving engagement between the input member (5) and the output member (2) through at least a first torque connection having a first gear ratio, a second torque connection having a second gear ratio and a third torque connection having a third gear ratio. The gearing arrangement includes a first engagement member (19) operable selectively to effect the first torque connection in a 1:1 ratio, a first planetary gear stage (14) and a second planetary gear stage (15), and a second engagement member (13) operable selectively to effect the second torque connection and a third engagement member (12) operable selectively to effect the third torque connection respectively through one or more of the planetary gear stages. The first engagement member (9) is located on a first side of the input member (5) and the first planetary gear stage (14), second engagement member (13), second planetary gear stage (15) and third engagement member (12) are located on a second side of the input member (5) opposite to said first side. An electrical wheel hub drive having such a gearing mechanism is also provided.

The present disclosure provides an arrangement for packaging an engine of a vehicle. The arrangement comprises a frame having a front end and a rear end, a vehicle body secured on the frame, a first pair of wheels coupled to the frame near the front end thereof and a second pair of wheels coupled to the frame near the rear end thereof, the first and second pair of wheels adapted to support the frame, and the engine transversely disposed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the frame, and drivingly coupled to at least one of the first pair of wheels and the second pair of wheels.
