Abstract:
An electric car comprises a chassis (111) that constitutes a longitudinal tunnel (106) in the longitudinal direction of the electric car. The electric car further comprises fastening devices (107) for holding an elongated battery module (110) in the longitudinal tunnel so that the tunnel is arranged to act as a room for the battery module. As the battery module is located in the longitudinal tunnel of the chassis, the center of gravity of the electric car can be kept low. Furthermore, the center of gravity of the electric car can be located on the middle portion (109) of the electric car. Thus, the weight of the battery module does not cause such adverse oversteering tendency as in a case where a battery module is located in the aft part of an electric car.

An apparatus for providing a secondary power source for an electric vehicle, the apparatus attachable to the electric vehicle and having at least one secondary electrical power storage unit for storing electrical energy for delivery to the electric vehicle as required to replace the primary power source, a power connection assembly to connect the at least one secondary power source to the electric vehicle and a control system to control supply to the electric vehicle.

An electrical vehicle including a vehicle body, a passenger compartment, a chassis supporting the passenger compartment, a plurality of wheels and at least one electrical motor for driving the wheels. A battery compartment of the vehicle is configured to removably mount therein a plurality of more than two rechargeable batteries which are movable into position in the battery compartment by a battery conveyor system which has a battery access opening through which batteries are installed or removed, one by one, to and from the battery compartment. In the battery compartment, a connection mechanism effects the needed mechanical and electrical connections. An overall control system controls the conveyor system and the connection mechanism to enable rapid replacement of the removable batteries, whereby an electrical vehicle can be instantly driven, even after its batteries have been discharged by a replacement of the discharged batteries and the installation of freshly charged batteries.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Energieversorgungssystem für mobil betriebene Technik, insbesondere Verkehrsmittel, insbesondere Elektrofahrzeuge, mit mindestens einem Behälter, in welchen elektrische Energiezellen einbringbar und fixierbar sind, und elektrischen Kontakten mittels welchen die Energiezellen elektrisch kontaktierbar sind, mit mindestens einer betätigbaren Vorrichtung, mittels welcher die Energiezellen derart freigebbar sind, dass sie als lose Menge vorliegen und in dem Behälter in mindestens einer Raumrichtung beweglich sind.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Energiespeicheranordnung für ein Kraftfahrzeug, insbesondere ein Elektrofahrzeug, mit zumindest zwei Batteriekästen (1, 2), die jeweils zumindest eine Akkumulatorenbatterie aufnehmen, und ein Verfahren zur Anordnung eines derartigen Energiespeichers, wobei die zwei Akkumulatorenbatterien miteinander elektrisch verschaltet werden, wenn die Batteriekästen (1, 2) über ein Verbindungsteil (3) miteinander mechanisch verbunden sind, wobei das Verbindungsteil (3) oberhalb von einer Radachse (4) des Kraftfahrzeugs, angeordnet ist, wobei mindestens ein erster Batteriekasten (1 ) vom Verbindungsteil (3) trennbar derart ausgestaltet ist, dass die Batteriekästen (1, 2) unabhängig voneinander montierbar und/oder demontierbar sind.
