Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere Großdieselmotor, mit zumindest einem ersten und einem zweiten Kühlkreis (31, 32), mit zumindest einem Einzelzylinder (1) mit einem eine Zylinderlaufbuchse (3) aufnehmenden Zylindergehäuse (2), sowie mit zumindest einem Einzelzylinderkopf (4), wobei die Zylinderlaufbuchse (3) von zumindest einem Kühlmantel (5, 6) umgeben ist, welcher mit zumindest einem Kühlraum (14), im Einzelzylinderkopf (4) strömungsverbunden ist, die Zylinderlaufbuchse (3) von einem ersten und einem zweiten Kühlmantel (5, 6) umgeben ist, wobei der erste Kühlmantel (5) vom zweiten Kühlmantel (6) innerhalb des Zylindergehäuses (2) strömungsmäßig getrennt ist. Um hohe Wirkungsgrade und niedrige Abgaswerte zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der erste Kühlmantel (5) mit zumindest einem ersten Kühlraum (14) und der zweite Kühlmantel (6) mit zumindest einem zweiten Kühlraum (24) im Einzelzylinderkopf (4) strömungsverbunden ist.
