Abstract:
Replaceable decorative part made of plastic, to be fitted onto the case (2) or frame of an electric appliance, such as a hand-held telephone, which decorative part is a film-like additional covering (10) intended to be fitted onto the case (2) or frame and so designed that it covers substantially the entire case or frame and corresponds to its shape, said additional covering being provided with a desired patterning/colouring, and which additional covering (10) comprises a surface fastening, such as a close fit between its sides (13) and the corresponding parts (12) of the case (2) or frame and/or a glue or sticker surface in at least part of the lower surface of the additional covering, to allow the additional covering to be attached to the case (2) or frame without any holes or equivalent made for the attachment of the decorative part.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a housing for the remote control of an electrical installation, comprising a housing wall (9) that delimits an interior space (5). At least one push-button-type actuator element (11) is disposed in said housing wall, is separated from the rest of the housing wall by a peripheral recess (12) and can be pushed from a rest position into an actuation position against the pressure of laterally disposed elastic return means (16). The aim of the invention is to prevent the visible part (15, 15') from detaching itself from the support element (14, 14') even when the actuator element (11) which consists of said support element (14, 14') from a soft elastic material and said visible part (15, 15') from a hard material fastened on the support element (14, 14') is frequently actuated. To achieve this, the visible part (15, 15') is embedded in a peripheral edge (17) of the support element (14, 14') so that, when the actuator element is pressed, the adjoining peripheral edge (17) of the support element (14, 14') is laterally forced against the visible part (15, 15'), thereby fixating it.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An infrared hand-held remote control for handling a single or plural devices such as lights, shades, drapes and the like contains ergonomically selected and placed control buttons that are self-describing and easy to use. It allows explicit, easy-to-use control of different functions by providing for each function to be controlled vertically disposed discrete buttons that provide "all or nothing" control of some physical feature and similar, vertically disposed and horizontally aligned "adjust" buttons that allow for fine and continuous control of the physical quantities between the extremes or limits of the discrete button functions. Successive groups of buttons provide for the control of different appliances or devices, where each group of buttons is identified by easy to comprehend icon or alphabetic representations.
Abstract:
There is provided an electronic product having a keypad including polyurethane resin. A cellular phone (100) as the electronic product has a keypad (P) including the polyurethane resin as a keypad surface and being positioned on a circuit board (6) of the cellular phone (100). A method for fabricating the keypad (P) includes the steps of: (a) printing numerals and characters on button-key portions of a polyurethane film to produce a printed polyurethane film; (b) inserting the printed polyurethane film between a first die and a second die; (c) pressing the printed polyurethane film by compressed air injected into the first die connected to a compressor; (d) adsorbing the printed polyurethane film on a concave surface of the second die by sucking air between the printed polyurethane film and the second die connected to a vacuum pump, thereby forming a base keypad having protrusions formed on the button-key portions; and (e) injecting silicone into insides of the protrusions. There is an advantage that the keypad (P) including the polyurethane resin as the keypad surface is not slippery and soft.
Abstract:
A system for labeling a button in the field includes a label defining a peripheral boundary and a label-receiving surface defined by the button and adapted for receipt of the label. The label-receiving surface of the button defines a perimeter adapted to accommodate the peripheral boundary of the label. The button includes side and end portions defining raised edges or lips that define the label-receiving surface. The side and end portions serve to align the placement of the label. The side and end portions also protect the edges of the label against accidental dislodgement and peeling. The label typically has a suitable button identifier such as text, or a graphical design element such as an icon, printed thereon.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a keypad applicable to a portable telephone, a remote controller, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) , and the like, and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing an integral type touch pad and a keypad comprising the integral type touch pad manufactured by such a method, which makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the keypad remarkably and discern the letters and figures formed on the key top even in the dark place, by forming the key top, the base, and the front housing integrally on a synthetic resin member such as acrylic resin, polycarbonate, or ABS resin, and molding photoluminescent pigment on the letters and figures formed on the key top, and concurrently which makes it possible to provide a keypad with integral type touch pad made to be high quality good visually by the inherent glaze of the synthetic resin and the vacuum metallization (VM) treatment.
