Abstract:
A method of calibrating a three-dimensional measurement system having a plurality of cameras and at least one projector is provided. The method includes performing a full calibration for each camera/projector pair where the full calibration generates at least two sets of correction matrices. Subsequently, an updated calibration is performed for each camera/projector pair. The updated calibration changes less than all of the sets of correction matrices.
Abstract:
Advanced ultrasonic welding components of U.S. Patent Application 12/925,652 are readily incorporated into new form-fill-seal machines, but owners of existing machines utilizing heat-seal stations were unsuccessful at swapping the sealing packages. Retrofit kits (10) to replace heat sealing stations with advanced ultrasonic sonotrode (13) and anvil 812) include: a housing (20,21,22,23,24); a linear rail (50) fixed thereto; first and second bearing carriages (61,62) being slidable upon the rail; and first and second fluidic muscles (16,17). Each of the fluidic muscles is mounted with a first end fixed to a respective housing wall (21,22), and a second end fixed to a respective bearing carriage, permitting actuation of each carriage through pressurization and depressurization of the muscles. The advanced anvil and sonotrode may be secured to respective carriages. In-line arrangements of anvil/sonotrode, bearing carriages, the first fluidic muscle, and the second fluidic muscle provides a narrow profile, permitting side-by-side kit installations for retrofits accomplishing duplex sealing on a horizontal machine.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a product includes the steps of providing a first and a second product part, each including a structure of fibers; arranging the first and second product parts relative to one another and against a support; providing a connecting element having a thermoplastic material; pressing the connecting element against the product parts to compress the semi-parts between the connecting element and the support and impinging the connecting element with energy, thereby causing thermoplastic material of the connecting element to become flowable, and causing the connecting element to be pressed into the product parts; and causing the thermoplastic material to re-solidify, thereby connecting the first and second product parts with each other.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a floor tile comprising a base substrate and a laminate layer, wherein the base substrate comprises at least one aligning member on a top surface thereof, the aligning member operable to engage with a complimentary receiver formed in the laminate layer for aligning the laminate layer on the top surface of the substrate.
Abstract:
A bonding structure manufacturing method for manufacturing a bonding structure in which a first member and a second member are bonded is provided with: a step for forming a perforation with an opening in the surface of the first member and forming a protrusion that protrudes into the inner circumferential surface of the perforation; a step for disposing the region of the first member where the perforation is formed adjacent to the second member; and step for filling and curing the second member in the perforation of the first member by irradiating a laser on the region of the first member where the perforation is formed from the second member side.
Abstract:
A method of providing, by high-frequency welding of at least two construction parts (4,4′) containing polymer material weldable by high-frequency welding to an assembled large unit in which said construction parts are comprised, fastener means (1) on said unit, said fastener means being intended for anchoring and building up said unit. The fastener means (1) are made of an electrically conductive material, and a primer layer (2) is arranged on a surface of the fastener means (1) and is bonded by means of a first hardening. A material weldable by high-frequency welding is arranged on top of said primer layer and is bonded thereto by means of a second hardening for building up a connecting layer (3). The invention also relates to anchoring parts (5) for use for that purpose.
Abstract:
In accordance with the disclosed principles, a novel thermoplastic profile roofing strip and an apparatus for welding the thermoplastic profile roofing strip to a thermoplastic roofing membrane is disclosed. In one embodiment, the thermoplastic profile roofing strip may comprise a horizontal base extending longitudinally and having a notched profile. In addition, the thermoplastic profile strip may comprise a vertical central portion laterally connected at one edge and normal to the horizontal base. In such embodiments, the vertical central portion extends longitudinally along the horizontal base to provide the improved profile. Related methods of welding a thermoplastic strip to a thermoplastic membrane are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pesticidal control device that includes at least one pesticidal active ingredient, cellulose fibers, and a polymer or polymer matrix. The combination of the cellulose fibers with the polymer allows for a higher loading of liquid pesticidal active ingredients within the pesticidal control device, maintains the active ingredient within the control device during transportation, storage and handling, and provides higher efficacy or control of pests during treatment. The pesticidal control device may be an ear tag, collar, or bee strip.
Abstract:
There are provided a synthetic resin joined body and a method of manufacturing the same, with which it is possible to secure both of sealing performance of a fluid passage and joint strength between synthetic resin parts, even if an area of a portion to be welded is reduced. The synthetic resin joined body includes: a baffle plate 110; an oil passage forming member 120 which comes in contact with the baffle plate 110; an oil passage 130 which is formed between the baffle plate 110 and the oil passage forming member 120 and through which lubricant flows; a sealing portion 140 which is formed by welding the baffle plate 110 and the oil passage forming member 120 to each other on an outer side of the oil passage 130 to seal a periphery of the oil passage 130; and a joint portion 150 for joining the baffle plate 110 and the oil passage forming member 120 to each other.
Abstract:
The present application is directed to pumpable thermally foaming filler compositions based on combinations of a liquid epoxy resin and a polyvinyl chloride resin and/or an acrylic resin powder. These pumpable filler materials provide the advantage that they can be applied as needed using conventional injection equipment and can be expanded to provide foam with good physical strength, high expansion and excellent adhesion on oiled metal substrates. The present invention further describes methods for filling closed spaces with the pumpable thermally foaming filler composition as well as vehicle parts which are obtainable with the indicated methods.
