The invention relates to a method for controlling a friction clutch (3) acting between a drive machine (2) and a transmission (4) after initiating a rolling or gear shifting process. In order to avoid critical situations concerning safety, it is proposed that the friction clutch (3) is actuated in a first process step in the closing direction up to a working point predetermined by a control device (11) according to a characteristic line if a gear that is engaged is signaled to the control device (11). Simultaneously, the torque of a transmission input shaft (12) associated with the transmission (4) is evaluated. The actuation of the friction clutch in the closing direction is aborted if the transmission input shaft rotational speed exceeds a predetermined threshold value before reaching the working point predetermined by the characteristic line.

Es wird daher vorgeschlagen, durch mehrere vorhergeschaltete Betätigungsvorgänge bei der Inbetriebnahme des Kraftfahrzeugs den bei diesen Temperaturen vorgegebenen Widerstand zur Betätigung der Reibungskupplung zu vermindern.

A motor vehicle driving train includes a propulsion engine (2) designed as an internal combustion engine, a gearbox (4) with variable transmission ratio linked to an axle drive (5), and an automated engine clutch (3) arranged between the propulsion engine (2) and the gearbox (4) so as to transmit power, and designed as a friction clutch which can be passively closed by a spring-supported compression device (6), and whose transmissible torque (clutch moment) can be adjusted by means of a clutch actuator (7). In order to improve controllability and produce a faster response characteristic of the engine clutch (3), the spring-supported compression device (6) is designed to generate a basic clutch moment lower than the maximum torque of the propulsion engine (2), and a second compression device (17) operationally linked to the clutch actuator (7) is provided for setting a higher clutch moment.
