摘要: The disclosure provides a design method of a coupling-out grating of an AR optical waveguide, the AR optical waveguide including a coupling-in grating, an optical waveguide body and the coupling-out grating, and the design method including: S101: calculating a diffraction coupling-in angle, at which a light beam is diffracted and coupled into the optical waveguide body through the coupling-in grating, according to an angle at which the light beam is incident to the coupling-in grating, a wavelength of the light beam and a grating period of the coupling-in grating; S102: calculating a distance between two adjacent coupling-out positions of the light beam on the coupling-out grating according to the diffraction coupling-in angle and a thickness of the optical waveguide body; S103: calculating a brightness difference rate of the light beam after being coupled out multiple times through the coupling-out grating according to the maximum diffraction efficiency of the coupling-out grating; and S104: calculating the number of partitions of the coupling-out grating according to a length of the coupling-out grating, a sensitivity of a human eye to the light beam, the brightness difference rate, and the distance between the two adjacent coupling-out positions.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide an optical element for displaying colors of high chroma level, with a structure that reduces data generation load and with little observation-angle-dependent chromatic change, and an article equipped with the optical element. The optical element of the present invention includes: a concavo-convex structure forming layer that has a concavo-convex structure on one surface; and a light-reflecting layer that covers at least part of a surface of the concavo-convex structure of the concavo-convex structure forming layer. In the optical element, the concavo-convex structure forming layer includes a unit group made up of a plurality of units whose concavo-convex structures are different from each other; each of the units has a flat portion and either a plurality of convexities or a plurality of concavities, with an upper surface of each convexity or a bottom surface of each concavity being substantially parallel to a surface of the flat portion; the convexities or the concavities adjacent to each other have center-to-center distances that are not constant; the convexities or the concavities have a constant height or depth; and in the unit group, units having an identical concavo-convex structure are not arrayed at a pitch of less than 150 µm.

The physical location of the input diffraction grating is located wholly within the geographical area of the intermediate grating, and the grating vectors of the input diffraction grating and the intermediate diffraction grating are oriented in different respective directions.
