The uniform distribution of torque on the pinion (3) and on the ring gear (5) enables the ring gear (5) and the pinion (3) to be arranged in a floating manner via each of the three tooth contacts and enables the wheel drive to be provided with a compact design.

摘要: A gear shift device for multispeed gearboxes of motor vehicles has at least one gear change rod arranged in the gearbox housing and movable in a substantially parallel direction to the wheel axis. Coupling means arranged on the gear change rod join the gear change rod to gear shift forks or levers. The gear shift forks (13) or levers (9) are retained in the neutral position relatively to the gear change rod (2) in the gearbox housing (1) by retaining means (16). The gear change rod (2) can be axially moved in relation to the gear shift levers (13) or forks (13). To shift gears, a selected coupling means (3) may be joined by a driving device (23) to the gear change rod (2) in a rigid manner at least in the axial direction.

When a modification occurs in the multiplication of the range-change unit (9), a) the drive train is relieved by modifying the torque of the drive engine (2), a shift element (24, 25) to be switched off in said range-change unit (9) is disconnected, c) a shift element (24,25) to be switched on in said range-change unit is synchronized and switched on and d) a multiplication of the automatic gearbox (8) is modified in such a way that the modification of the multiplication of the multi-group transmission (4) is smaller than a single modification of the multiplication of the range-change unit (9). A rotational speed of the drive engine (2) is adjusted by a modification in the transmissibility of at least one shift element of the automatic gearbox (8) to a coupling rotational speed equivalent to the adjusting multiplication of the multi-group transmission (4) at which the shift element to be switched on in the range-change unit (9) is synchronous.
