摘要:
The invention relates to an anti-roll/pitch system for use in a vehicle, in which a first mass, for instance a cabin, is suspended to a second mass, for instance a chassis, by means of a bearing arm, which is pivotally connected to the second mass around a pivot axis, via spring means. The anti-roll/pitch system comprises means to adjust a point of application of a spring force acting on the bearing arm, so as to adjust a moment exerted by said spring force on said bearing arm to counteract a load exerted on the bearing arm by the first mass. The spring force is exerted on the bearing arm through a flexible, elongated member, such as a string or cable, which takes up little space when adjusting the point of application. The invention furthermore relates to a built-in unit and a vehicle, equipped with an anti-roll/pitch system according to the invention.
摘要:
An independent vehicle suspension in which the height change which can be made while the vehicle is stationary is limited so as to prevent the system from having to make too great an associated track change. This prevents the system from becoming locked during a height change due to stiction between the wheels and ground which opposes the track change. The height change is completed when the vehicle is detected as starting to move.

A method and apparatus for dynamically leveling the attitude of a vehicle (102) using a low power fully active suspension system (100). The system (100) connects the front and rear suspensions (114 and 104) and body (103) of the vehicle (102) and includes a hydraulic damper (110) having a pressure cylinder (144) forming a working chamber (146) in which a piston and rod assembly (148) is movably disposed. The system (100) further comprises a flow control device (130) fluidly communicating with the working chamber (146) on one side of the piston (148) for adding and exhausting damping fluid therefrom to a central pressure source (132), and an accumulator (128) fluidly communicating with the working chamber (146) on the opposite side of the piston (148). The system (100) having flow restriction valving (156) for selectively controlling the flow of fluid with said working chamber (146). The flow restriction valving (156) located between the flow control device (130) and the accumulator (128). The lower power fully active suspension system (100) is adapted to produce a desired suspension force output through selective actuation of the flow control device (130) and the flow restriction valving (156) for limiting the duty cycle and power requirements of the central pressure source (132).

A suspension control system for use with shock absorbers provided between sprung and unsprung masses of an automotive vehicle at the positions of the respective vehicle road wheels for providing variable damping force characteristics. The suspension control system includes sensors mounted on the vehicle for sensing sprung mass vertical accelerations acting in a predetermined direction with respect to the vehicle at the respective road wheel positions. A component of the vehicle longitudinal acceleration acting in the predetermined direction is calculated as a function of vehicle pitching angle and vehicle longitudinal acceleration. The sensed sprung mass vertical accelerations are corrected in a direction to cancel the calculated vehicle longitudinal acceleration component. The shock absorbers are controlled based on the respective corrected sprung mass vertical accelerations.

In a vehicle (1') there is incorporated a shock absorber arrangement (6', 7', 8', 9') for the shock absorption of swaying and pitching motions which occur in the vehicle, on which two or more wheels (16, 17 or 18, 19) are provided with their own shock absorber. At least two shock absorbers (6', 7') are incorporated in a joint function in which, in the event of pure pitching or tipping motions, the shock absorbers each make a first contribution to the shock absorption and, in the event of pure swaying motions, the respective shock absorber makes a second contribution to the shock absorption which is less than the respective said first contribution.

In a fluid pressure type active suspension in a vehicle such as an automobile in which a fluid pressure type actuator supporting a vehicle body from a wheel so as to be able to vary a vehicle height of the vehicle body relative to the wheel in accordance with a fluid pressure supplied in its fluid chamber is operated by a pressure control means which controls the fluid pressure supplied in the fluid chamber of the actuator according to certain control parameters including at least a rate of change of the vehicle height or an acceleration of the vehicle body, the control means is adapted to modify an actual value of the rate of change of the vehicle height or the acceleration of the vehicle body for use in the control of the fluid pressure to be less than the actual value thereof when the rate of change of the vehicle height or the acceleration of the vehicle body is greater than a threshold value therefor.

Selectively engagable auxiliary leaf springs (38) for vertically supporting a vehicle chassis (32) on an axle assembly (22) in parallel with main suspension springs (34). Forward and rear ends (38b,38a) of the auxiliary leaf springs are pivotally attached to the vehicle chassis and the axle assembly, and pivotal movement of the forward ends (38b) is inhibited or prevented by engagement of actuator assemblies (56 or 100 or 170) to engage the auxiliary leaf springs. A control system automatically engages the actuator assemblies in response to load added to the vehicle and/or vehicle steering movement and/or rapid vehicle acceleration.

A running state control system having running state control means for controlling a running state of a vehicle, in which a control target quantity thereof is set different according to a steering angle, comprises steering angle detecting means for detecting the steering angle, and steering angle changing means for changing the steering angle detected by the steering angle detecting means into a filtered steering angle a decrease of which lags behind a decrease of an actual steering angle. Consequently, an abrupt change in a control condition can be prevented even during a slalom run and counter steering of a vehicle, thus enhancing a running stability of the vehicle.
