摘要: The invention relates to a control device, wherein six physical quantities-forward-reverse speed, left-right speed, vertical speed, pitch angle, roll angle, and angle of sideslip-representing vehicular movement and to control the braking force of each wheel and/or the damping coefficient of each suspension shock absorber in order to further shorten braking distance particularly at the time of braking and to prevent spin at that time are measured or calculated. In this case, it is necessary to furnish wheel speed and steering angle sensors (4;6...9;15...18) to measure speed and angle directly. In the present invention, four radar sensors (15...18) are used in order to directly measure the forward-reverse Speed and the left-right speed on the basis of at least one of a phase difference between an emission signal transmitted toward a road surface from the radar sensors (15...18) and a reflection signal reflected from the road surface and received by the radar sensors (15...18) and a Doppler shift frequency superposed on the reflection signal. Also, the vertical speed, the pitch angle, the roll angle, and the angle of sideslip are indirectly measured from the output of the radar sensors (15...18). By using three or four radar sensors, six physical quantities-the forward speed, the left-right direction speed, the vertical speed, the angle of sideslip, the pitch angle, and the roll angle-can be measured. Also, by using two radar sensors, three physical quantites-the forward speed, the left-right speed, and the angle of sideslip-can be measured.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system and a corresponding method for autonomously driving a vehicle.
Control commands for autonomously or partially autonomously driving a vehicle are generated on the basis of an environment representation which is itself generated from signals of sensing means that observe the environment of the vehicle. In case that ambiguous objects are identified in the environment representation, the system generates an information request for the objects that are identified as being ambiguous and directs it to the driver. Information obtained from the driver is analyzed and additional information on the object is extracted and together with the information derived from the sensing means signal accumulated in the environment representation map. Then on the basis of such enhanced representation map, the traffic situation is determined and suitable control signals are generated for the vehicle actuators.
Additionally in case that the system is not capable of deciding on a traffic situation with sufficient confidence, the driver is asked by an information request either to disambiguate the situation or to instruct on how to deal with the ambiguous traffic situation.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and to a device, in particular a control and evaluation unit, for recognizing a water passage or a high water level for a vehicle, which has, as a drive, an internal combustion engine having an exhaust train, in which the functionality of an emission control system is monitored or controlled by at least one exhaust sensor and the exhaust sensor is operated at least intermittently at high temperatures and has thermal shock susceptibility by design. According to the invention, a water recognition criterion is determined based on one or a plurality of distance sensors and, at critical values of the water level which are predicted or have already been reached, protective measures are initiated for the emissions control system of the vehicle or for the exhaust sensor or exhaust sensors arranged in the exhaust duct. Damage to exhaust sensors or to components of the emissions control system as a result of the severe cooling upon contact with water can thus be minimized. In addition, misinformation of the exhaust sensors due to a thermal shock and a possible accompanying malfunction can also be recognized by said anticipatory protective measures and correspondingly suppressed.
