Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an adhesive asphalt emulsion. The adhesive asphalt emulsion can be prepared in liquid form and applied to a material, such as a film or fabric, to create a self-adhering membrane. In some embodiments, the adhesive can be water vapor permeable, and can be applied in a continuous layer to a membrane. The adhesive asphalt emulsion can be prepared, applied, and in service at low temperatures.

The invention relates to a barrier sheet (1) comprising an elongated windproof membrane (2), a wind, water and radon-proof adhesive layer (3), and an elongated radon-proof membrane (4). It also relates to a method for manufacturing a barrier sheet (1) comprising an elongated windproof membrane (2), a wind, water and radon-proof adhesive layer (3), and a radon-proof membrane (4), comprising the steps of; providing an elongated windproof membrane (2), an elongated radon-proof membrane (4) and an adhesive substance (9), advancing the windproof membrane (2) while applying adhesive substance (9) to the middle section (10) of the windproof membrane (2), applying a protective sheet (7) to at least the adhesive substance, cooling the barrier sheet (1), and applying adhesive substance (3) to a first side area (5) of the radon-proof membrane, the adhesive substance being coherent with at least a part of the adhesive substance being applied to the windproof membrane (2) so that the first side area (5) of the radon-proof membrane is connected to the windproof membrane (2). The invention further relates to the use of the above barrier sheet and a method for providing radon gas protection in a building comprising the steps of; covering the inner surfaces of a basement with radon membrane, arranging a barrier sheet (1) comprising an elongated windproof membrane (2), a wind, water and radon-proof adhesive layer (3), and a radon-proof membrane (4) between the walls of the basement and the framework of a building, and connecting the radon-proof membrane (4) to the radon membrane.

Bei einer mittels eines wasserfesten Klebers, einer wasserfesten Grundierung einer Wand oder dergleichen, ein Lösungsmittel aufweisendes, nach einem Abbinden weitgehend wasserundurchlässigen Verbindungsmittels festzulegende, dampfhemmende oder dampfsperrende Dichtbahn, insbesondere aus einem Folienverbund, ist randseitig eine Mikro-Perforation vorgesehen derart, dass eine Diffusion des Lösungsmittels während des Abbindens ermöglicht ist und dass nach einem Abbinden des Verbindungsmittels die Mikro-Perforation sicher durch das Verbindungsmittel dampfhemmend oder dampfsperrend verschlossen ist.

More particularly, insulation facing materials and insulation articles can incorporate an insulation facing material having a variable vapor barrier. The facing materials can include a moisture barrier membrane that incorporates a nanoclay.

A thermal insulation structure includes a plurality of inner air and water vapour permeable insulating layers which entrap air and a water vapour permeable, at least substantially air impermeable film layer separating two said water vapour permeable insulating layers, the inner layers being sandwiched between first and second outer air and liquid water impermeable, water vapour permeable outer film layers, the construction and arrangement of the layers being such as to control, in use, water vapour transmission through the thermal insulation structure. A building material composite sheet with heat-shielding, moisture permeable and water-proof property is provided, the sheet improving on workability and safety by reducing not infrared reflectivity, but only visible light reflection with its moisture permeability, water-proof property and air permeability kept intact so as to restrain the operators from feeling dazzled in the eyes. The present building material composite sheet is provided with a moisture permeable and water-proof inner sheet layer 1 and a heat shielding, outer sheet layer 2 comprising a thermoplastic resin substrate 21, a metallic vapor deposited layer 22 having a lustrous metallic material deposited with a certain thickness and formed on the thermoplastic resin substrate 21; a surface protective layer 23 with heat shielding particles 23b substantially uniformly distributed in a transparent thermoplastic resin base 23a and integrally laminated on a surface of the metallic vapor deposited layer 22; and a number of apertures 24 provided in the heat shielding sheet layer 2 with an interval between them, the moisture permeable and water-proof sheet layer 1 being integrally laminated on the heat shielding sheet layer 2. The invention relates to a vapour permeable, water-tight and reflecting foil, comprising at least two layers, a first layer consisting of a vapour permeable, water-tight carrier layer and a second layer consisting of a reflecting layer made of a metal or metal oxide, characterized in that the metal layer is applied without interruption directly onto the carrier layer. The invention further relates to insulating sheets having one or more layers, which comprise the foil according to the invention. The insulating sheet is particularly suited for use in refrigerated containers, in thermal containers, in transport containers, particularly for the shipping, automotive, or aerospace industry, in special-purpose textiles and in footwear.

A process for forming a low emissivity, moisture vapor permeable metallized composite sheet by coating a moisture vapor permeable sheet with at least one metal and exposing the freshly deposited metal to an oxidizing plasma thereby forming a protective synthetic metal oxide over the metal. The composite sheet material is suitable for use as a building construction barrier layer such as roof lining and house wrap.
