    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inducible gene expression system and a method for modulating the expression of a gene in a host cell by using the inducible gene expression system. SOLUTION: Provided is a gene expression modulating system containing (a) a first gene expression cassette expressible in a host cell and containing (i) a DNA-bonding domain recognizing a response element associated with a gene to modulate its expression and (ii) a polynucleotide encoding a first hybrid polypeptide containing an ecdysone receptor ligand bonding domain; and (b) a second gene expression cassette expressible in a host cell and containing (i) a trans-activation domain and (ii) a polynucleotide encoding a second hybrid polypeptide containing an invertebrate retinoid X receptor-bonded domain.
