摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a new compound having trifluoromethylamino group, exhibiting low basicity, stably usable even by mixing with an ester-type liquid crystal compound, etc., usable even in the form of a p-type or n-type liquid crystal for nematic liquid crystal, etc., as well as matrix crystal for ferroelectric liquid crystal and useful as a material for a light-switching element for display. CONSTITUTION:This compound having trifluoromethylamino group is expressed by formula I [R is a (substituted)1-16C alkyl or a 2-16C alkenyl; ring A is a (substituted)1,4-phenylene, etc.; ring B and ring C each is a (substituted)1,4- phenylene, etc.; J and K each is a single bond, CH2CH2, CidenticalC, etc.; (m) is 0 or 1; Z is F, Cl, cyano, H, etc.], e.g. 5-bromo-2-(N-methyl-N-trifluoromethyl) aminopyridine. The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting an aromatic sec-amine of formula II with carbon disulfide and then a methylating agent in the presence of a strong base and reacting the resultant corresponding methyl dithiocarbamate with a halonium ion generating agent and a fluoride ion source.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a new liquid crystal intermediate compound suitable for producing liquid crystal materials having resonance structure between aromatic ring and acetylene through short production process at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula I [SIGMA1 and SIGMA2 are each (substituted) aromatic ring; X is F or CN; n1 and n2 are each 0 or 1], e.g. a compound of formula II. The compound of the formula I can be obtained, for example, by reaction of NaH with a compound of formula III produced from 3-methyl-1-pentyne-3-ol as starting material. Using this liquid crystal intermediate compound, other objective compounds, liquid crystal compounds and high molecular liquid crystal compounds, can be obtained.
