PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel immunotherapeutic agent and a method for reducing the level of cytokine and its derivatives with the use of this drug. SOLUTION: The immunotherapeutic agent is a compound belonging to cyano and carboxy derivatives of substituted styrenes represented by chemical formula (I) and is an inhibitor of any production of phosphodiesterase activity, particularly PDE 3 and PDE 4 activities, TNFα (tumor necrosis factor-α), and NFκB (nuclear factor κB).
