    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive amplification circuit that, in amplifying differential signals, amplifies only the differential signals without requiring any reference of common mode voltage, and provide a successive approximation analog-digital converter that has effective resolution improved by one bit.SOLUTION: Differential signals are amplified by the passive amplification circuit dispensing with a reference of common mode voltage, and voltages of input signals are passively amplified twofold before a successive approximation analog-digital conversion operation is performed. The passive amplification is implemented by a plurality of capacitive elements for sampling whose connection relationships are changed with switches. This can halve an effect of comparator noise without adding to power consumption and chip size, to whereby increase effective resolution by one bit.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus for enabling AD conversion with sufficient AD conversion accuracy even if a capacity feedback-type amplifier is used for generation of a lamp signal.SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging apparatus includes: a plurality of pixels which are two-dimensionally arranged; amplifier circuits which are arranged for each column and amplify signals from the pixels; a reference signal generation circuit for generating a lamp signal; and an AD conversion circuit for AD-converting the signal from the pixel by using the lamp signal and output from the amplifier circuit. In a capacity feedback-type amplifier which the amplifier circuit has and a capacity feedback-type amplifier which the reference signal generation circuit has, feedback capacities of the same structures are used and connection relations between the feedback capacities and amplifiers are made equal. Voltage dependency of capacitances of the respective feedback capacities of the amplifier circuit and the reference signal generation circuit are made equal to improve AD conversion accuracy.

    SOLUTION: The fully-differential amplifier circuit includes: a differential amplifier configured to differentially amplify first and second input signals forming an input differential pair to generate first and second intermediate signals forming a pair; and first and second class AB amplifiers configured to amplify the first and second intermediate signals to generate first and second output signals, respectively. The first and second output signals form an output differential pair, the first class AB amplifier amplifies the first intermediate signal based on a reference voltage adjusted by a first feedback signal that is a common mode component of the first output signal and the second output signal. The second class AB amplifier amplifies the second intermediate signal based on a reference voltage adjusted by a second feedback signal that is a common mode component of the first output signal and the second output signal.
