    摘要: A method for making a flat substrate from incremental-width nanorods includes the steps of: providing a base layer, performing a lateral crystal growth process for a plurality of times, and forming a substrate. The base layer has a plurality of nanorods. Each time the lateral crystal growth process is performed, an additive reagent is added at a different concentration to enable lateral crystal growth and thereby increase the width of each nanorod incrementally. The incremental-width nanorods eventually bond with each other to form a substrate. The substrate may go through an annealing process so as to become a flat substrate.

    摘要: A reusable expansion anchoring assembly comprises a spiral tang and a bolt. The spiral tang is formed by spirally coiling a long wire, and the bolt includes a head and a body. A spiral part is provided on the body to form a plurality of threads spaced equidistantly and the threads at the bottom of the body are in tapered shape. In the setting process, the first thread is assembled with a gap of the spiral tang, and the bolt body and the spiral tang are inserted into a round and elongated hole provided in an object with substantial depth. Turning the bolt head bolt produces sufficient force to assemble the first thread with the spiral tang. Under normal or improper operation, the spiral tang is movable relative to the bolt and can be expanded, and a firm connection between the bolt and the object can be formed.

    摘要: A PLA programming system includes software routines for automatically partitioning a specified set of PLA product terms into independent partitions. Each PLA product term specifies values for a set of binary input signals, and values for a set of binary output signals. Some of the output signals are feedback signals also used as input signals. A partitioning merit value is generated for each feedback signal, and then one or more of the feedback signals are selected as target bits in accordance with the generated merit values. Then the specified set of PLA product terms are divided into partitions in accordance with the values of the input signals corresponding to the target bits. All of the PLA product terms in each partition of PLA product terms have identical input signal values corresponding to the target bits, and PLA product terms in different ones of the partitions have different input signal values corresponding to the target bits. When the partitioning process fails to generate partitions containing no more than a predefined number of PLA product terms, an extra feedback signal is added to the input and output signal list of every PLA product term. The extra input and output signals are assigned binary values such that the added feedback signal will be a good target bit for partitioning the PLA product terms, and then process of selecting target bits and partitioning the PLA product terms is repeated.

The patterned mask layer includes a plurality of apertures, and each aperture exposes a portion of the substrate base. An insulating layer is formed on a sidewall of each nano-pillar. An epitaxial lateral overgrowth process is performed on a top portion of each nano-pillar, so as to form a semiconductor layer on the nano-pillars, wherein the semiconductor layer is exposed by a plurality of gaps disposed between the nano-pillars.
