Abstract:
An irrigation stand assembly for hands free irrigation includes a handle has a first portion slidably engaging a second portion such that the handle has a telescopically adjustable length. A spray nozzle is coupled to the handle and the spray nozzle has an input and an output. The input is fluidly attachable to a fluid source to receive a fluid and the output sprays the fluid for irrigation. A stand is vertically orientable on a support surface and the stand releasably engages the handle for retaining the handle in an upright position. In this way the spray nozzle can be positioned on the support surface to irrigate the support surface without requiring the user to bend over.
Abstract:
A global user record that can be found in a search for posixAccount-type records is created in a database, then a zone user record of a type that cannot be found in a search for posixAccount-type records is associated with it. Finally, the zone user record is augmented so that it, too, will be found in a search for posixAccount-type records. Global and zone-specific group records are created similarly.
Abstract:
The invention provides seed treatment compositions as well as their use, methods for treating seeds, methods of protecting plants against pests and also treated seeds and plants. In one embodiment there is provided a method of treating a seed with a seed treatment composition to induce a plant resistance mechanism against one or more pests in a plant grown from said seed.
Abstract:
Methods and compositions are provided for assessing, treating, and preventing diseases, especially cancer, using cancer-associated targets (CAT). Methods and compositions are also provided for determining or predicting the effectiveness of a treatment for these diseases or for selecting a treatment, using CAT. Methods and compositions are further provided for modulating cell function using CAT. Also provided are compositions that modulate CAT (e.g., antagonists or agonists), such as antibodies, proteins, small molecule compounds, and nucleic acid agents (e.g., RNAi and antisense agents), as well as pharmaceutical compositions thereof. Further provided are methods of screening for agents that modulate CAT, and agents identified by these screening methods.
Abstract:
A mainshaft assembly for a gearbox includes a mainshaft (44) and drive gears (31, 36) carried for rotation about the mainshaft. First and second hubs (50, 50′) are associated with respective drive gears, each hub being operable to selectively couple or uncouple with the drive gear causing it to rotate with the hub or with respect to the hub. A drive connection mechanism (42, 64, 66) associated with each hub selectively connects the hub to the mainshaft. Upon connection of the hubs to the drive gears, the drive connection operates to connect one or other of the hubs to the mainshaft when torque is applied to the mainshaft in a first direction or an opposite direction. This enables a gear ratio to be selected by reversing the torque being handled by the gearbox.

Abstract:
A computer-implemented method for in-application advertising display on a second computer using a first computer. A request is received on a first computer to display an advertisement on a second computer, the request from the second computer and including an identification of an application and a location information. The first computer selects an advertisement containing a deal comprised of a discount for prepurchase from a first company and a reward from a second company. The second company is selected based on the identification of the application and the selection is based on both the identification of the application and the location information. The first computer transmits the advertisement to the second computer. The first computer receives a signal from the second computer indicating a purchase of the deal by a user of the second computer.
Abstract:
Systems and a method for image forming systems to skip over the non-printing photoreceptor area in order to not skip a label position on a continuous print web medium. A vacuum assembly is coupled to a controller that controls different vacuum pressures at each vacuum roller therein. The vacuum rollers provide drag and drive forces to skip a seam of the photoreceptor and a residual length based on the number and size of images on the photoreceptor.
Abstract:
A mechanism for the deployment of asynchronous agentless agent functionality in clustered environments. An agentless agent execution node in an agentless agent execution node cluster receives a context message comprising an asynchronous operation request and an execution context from a messaging service. The agent node determines if an entry for the execution context exists in an execution context state table of the agent node. If no entry exists, the agent node creates an execution context entry in the execution context state table of the agent node. The agent node retrieves an asynchronous code module associated with the asynchronous operation from a central repository. The asynchronous code module is then executed on a managed resource to detect asynchronous code events occurring on the managed resource. When asynchronous code events are detected at the managed resource, the agent node sends a message comprising the asynchronous code events to a management server.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) transistor and a method for fabricating it. The LDMOS transistor includes an n-type epitaxial layer formed on a p-type substrate, and an asymmetric conductive spacer which acts as its gate. The LDMOS transistor also includes a source and a drain region on either side of the asymmetric conductive spacer, and a channel region formed by ion-implantation on the asymmetric conductive spacer. The height of the asymmetric conductive spacer increases from the source region to the drain region. The channel region is essentially completely under the asymmetric conductive spacer and has smaller length than that of the channel region of the prior art LDMOS transistors. The LDMOS transistor of the present invention also includes a field oxide layer surrounding the active region of the transistor, and a thin dielectric layer isolating the asymmetric conductive spacer from the n-type epitaxial layer.
