Abstract:
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described, comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein there is at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer containing at least one nonionic surface active agent and at least one anionic surface active agent having a polyoxyethylene group therein.
Abstract:
For providing a molded body in the form of a predetermined pattern projecting from a surface of a substrate, such as, a flexible metal sheet, the substrate surface is first coated with a thermoplastic film and then applied against a mold plate which has a cavity in the form of the predetermined pattern opening toward the thermoplastic film, whereupon, a resin, such as, polyethylene, is injected into the cavity to form on the substrate an injection molded body having the predetermined pattern and which is bonded to the substrate through the thermoplastic film in consequence of the heat and pressure incidental to the injection molding process.
Abstract:
A photographic material is described containing in at least one photographic layer a compound of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is a fluorine-substituted alkyl group, and R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 can be a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group, and M is a cation.
Abstract:
A thermal recording material having a thermal color-forming layer which contains an electron-donating leuco-dye and an electron-receiving compound, and a protective layer formed in that order on a support. The protective layer of the material contains an inorganic dye and at least one of an amide-denatured polyvinyl alcohol and a diacetone-denatured polyvinyl alcohol.
Abstract:
A beverage dispenser (10) supplies a beverage from a beverage container (12) through a piping system, wherein a device is provided for sterilizing, by heat, said piping system and a connection portion (61) of said beverage container connected to said piping system. A beverage dispenser further supplies a beverage from a beverage container (12) through a piping system and a cock (32), wherein a device is provided for sterilizing by heat said piping system and said cock (32). Thus, the piping system in the dispenser is heat-sterilized.

Abstract:
In laminated, resin-impregnated doctor blades for removing water from a grooved belt in the press part of a papermaking machine, fibers of the belt-contacting layer are oriented in the direction of travel of the belt. The doctor blade so constructed exhibits greater adhesion to the belt, an improved water-removal capability, and greater durability, when compared with a doctor blade having randomly oriented surface fibers.
Abstract:
The base layer of the cushion material is comprised of a ground body of meta-aromatic polyamide fibers and a bonding layer of substantially non-drawn meta-aromatic polyamide fibers integrated by needling. The airtight layer over the base layer comprises a non-woven fabric sheet of meta-aromatic polyamide fibers. The non-woven fabric sheet is integrated to the base layer under pressure by applying temperatures at or above the glass transition temperatures but at or below the decomposition temperatures of the constitutent fibers of the bonding layer.
Abstract:
A sludge condensation and dewatering apparatus is described which comprises a condensation unit and a dewatering unit. The condensation unit comprises a flocculating reaction tank (1) for forming a sludge flock, a first holding tank (2) slantingly arranged and upwardly inclined along the moving direction of the sludge, a conveyor for conveying the sludge flock from the flocculation tank to the holding tank for retaining the sludge flock produced by the flocculation reaction tank and an endless running screen belt (3) located just below and adjacent to the first holding tank, a dewatering unit, a solidification device (13) in communication with the first holding tank located between the condensation unit and the dewatering unit. The dewatering unit comprises an upper running piled filter cloth (4) and a lower running piled filter cloth (5), a plurality of rolls (R.sub.1 -R.sub.18) for tensioning the upper and lower filter cloths and for moving them closer to each other so as to dewater, between the two filter cloths, the condensed sludge produced by the condensation unit, and then for moving the upper and lower filter cloths apart from each other, and guiding the condensed sludge held in place between both cloths, to wind over substantially the entire circumferential surface of a perforated roll (6) having a large diameter, and a plurality of pressure rolls (P.sub.1 -P.sub.7), arranged around the upper and lower filter cloths (4) and (5) and around the perforated roll. The invention also covers the process for condensing and dewatering a sludge to obtain a cake of low water content.
Abstract:
In a doctor blade, which suppresses abrasion of a mating member and excels in water removal capability and shape retention capacity over a long time, resin is impregnated into a fibrous laminate composed of base materials and batt layers integrated by needle punching, and an adjustment is made so that the void content is between 50% and 80%.
