Abstract: A base station may generate first configuration information to configure a first user equipment (“UE”) to operate using a first bandwidth within a wideband carrier of a cell, generate second configuration information to configure a second UE to operate using a second bandwidth within the wideband carrier of the cell, and cause transmission of the first and second configuration information to the first and second UEs, respectively. The base station may configure the first and second UEs based upon capabilities received from each UE, respectively.

Abstract: Embodiments of an Evolved Node-B (eNB), Private Spectrum Access System (SAS) controller, and methods for communication in shared spectrum are generally described herein. In some cases, primary usage of the shared spectrum by incumbent devices may be prioritized over secondary usage of the shared spectrum. The eNB may receive, from the Private SAS controller, a configuration message that allocates, to the eNB, a first channel included in the shared spectrum for secondary usage by the eNB. The eNB may further receive, from the Private SAS controller, a request that the eNB determine an interference measurement and may send the interference measurement to the Private SAS controller. The measurement may be based on an output transmit power used for transmission by the eNB in the shared spectrum.

Abstract: Embodiments of an Evolved Node-B (eNB), Local Controller (LC) device, and methods for allocation of shared spectrum for secondary usage are generally described herein. In some cases, primary usage of the shared spectrum may be prioritized over the secondary usage of the shared spectrum. The eNB may receive, from the LC device, a spectrum availability message that indicates an availability of the shared spectrum for the secondary usage. The eNB may transmit, to the LC device, spectrum sensing information that is based at least partly on one or more signal strength measurements for UEs connected to the eNB. The eNB may further transmit, to the LC device, a spectrum engagement message that indicates an intention of the eNB to use at least a portion of the shared spectrum for communication with the UEs.

The mobile network shared spectrum controller and the public shared spectrum controller may operate cooperatively to perform operations of a shared spectrum controller, such as management of secondary usage of shared spectrum by a group of eNBs. The mobile network shared spectrum controller may obfuscate at least a portion of network configuration information from the public shared spectrum controller to enable maintenance of confidential information within the mobile network domain.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for balancing time resource allocation between cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) and intelligent transport systems (ITSG5)/dedicated short range communication (DSRC). For example, some embodiments are directed to an electronic device including radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to monitor, using the radio front end circuitry, a channel for a time period and determine, based on the monitoring the channel, an average channel occupancy level (COL) of the channel over the time period. The processor circuitry can further be configured to compare the average COL to one or more thresholds and change a resource share of long-term evolution (LTE) cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) intervals based on the comparison.

Abstract: A Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The gNB is configurable to operate as a source gNB. The gNB is configured with logical nodes including a gNB central unit (gNB-CU) and a gNB distributed unit (gNB-DU). The gNB-CU comprises a gNB-CU control plane (gNB-CU-CP) for control-plane functionality, and a gNB-CU user plane (gNB-CU-UP) for user-plane functionality. When a handover of a User Equipment (UE) from the source gNB to a target gNB is performed, the gNB transfers, from the gNB-DU to the gNB-CU-UP, a downlink data delivery status (DDDS) message to indicate that the gNB-CU-UP is to stop transfer, to the gNB-DU, of downlink data intended for the UE.

Abstract: Devices and methods of transmit opportunity (TXOP) with continued listen-before-talk (LBT) are generally described. A user equipment (UE) can be configured to perform a single LBT during an LBT scanning instance, to detect availability of an unlicensed wireless channel. Upon detecting availability of the channel, data is encoded for transmission during a TXOP with a TXOP duration. A pause in the transmission of the data is initiated upon expiration of a first time interval of the TXOP. A continuous LBT procedure is performed upon expiration of the pause, to determine a plurality of sensing metrics indicating occupancy of the unlicensed wireless channel. The transmission of the data is resumed during the TXOP for a second time interval, when at least one sensing metric of the plurality of sensing metrics is below a threshold.
