摘要： A lubricant composition includes a mineral lubricanting lubricant composition and a friction modifying amount of a reaction product of an amine and maleic anhydride represented by the formula: ##STR1## in which X and X' are either: ##STR2## in which R and R' can be any hydrocarbon radicals and the total number of carbon atoms in R plus R' varies from about 6 to about 30, and wherein the nitrogen is bound to a secondary carbon atom, or wherein R is a hydrogen atom and R' is a branched hydrocarbon radical having from about 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or ##STR3## in which Y varies from 2 to 6, and in which R" is a hydrocarbon radical having from about 6 to 30 carbon atoms, and R"' is hydrogen or a methyl radical. The lubricant composition finds use in various internal combustion engines including slow and medium speed diesel engines and as a lubricant in the upper cylinder of a slow speed marine diesel engine.

摘要： A liquid jet fuel composition comprising:(a) a major portion of a liquid fuel; and(b) a minor effective portion of a thermal stabilizing additive prepared by(i) reacting a polyamine, an aldehyde and a phenol containing active hydrogen to form a phenol - aldehyde - amine condensate; and(ii) reacting said phenol - aldehyde - amine condensate and a succinic acid anhydride bearing a polyolefin - derived substituent containing residual unsaturation, thereby forming a phenol - aldehyde amine Mannich condensate polyamine succinimide product additive; and(iii) recovering said product additive.

摘要： An oxidation and corrosion resistant diesel engine lubricant composition, particularly useful in marine and railway diesel engines, comprises a major amount of a base hydrocarbon lubricating oil and from 0.1-5.0 weight percent of a reaction product additive which is the reaction product obtained by first reacting a hydroxybenzoic acid and a polyoxyalkylene polyol to form an ester, and thereafter reacting the ester with an aldehyde or ketone and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic azole to produce the final reaction product.
