Provided is a light-emitting device including an anode, a cathode, and a layer including an organic compound that is positioned between the anode and the cathode, in which the layer including the organic compound includes a first layer, a second layer, and a light-emitting layer in this order from the anode side, the first layer includes a first substance and a second substance, the second layer includes a third substance, the first substance is an organic compound a HOMO level of which is higher than or equal to −5.8 eV and lower than or equal to −5.4 eV, the second substance is a substance that has an electron-acceptor property with respect to the first substance, and the third substance is an organic compound having a structure in which at least two substituents comprising carbazole rings are bonded to a naphthalene ring.

Abstract: A novel organic compound having an emission spectrum peak at a wavelength longer than 850 nm and an absorption spectrum peak at a wavelength longer than 600 nm is provided. The organic compound is represented by General Formula (G1).
In General Formula (G1), Ar1 to Ar4 each independently represent an aryl group having 6 to 13 carbon atoms in a ring. R1 to R8 each independently represent anyone of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 13 carbon atoms in a ring, and a heteroaryl group having 3 to 13 carbon atoms in a ring. Q1 and Q2 each independently represent a group having a carbazole skeleton or a group having a triarylamine skeleton and having 18 to 30 carbon atoms in a ring. Furthermore, m and n each independently represent 0 or 1.-

Abstract: A light-emitting element with high emission efficiency and high reliability is provided.
The light-emitting element includes a host material and a guest material in a light-emitting layer. The host material has a function of converting triplet excitation energy into light emission and the guest material emits fluorescence. The molecular structure of the guest material is a structure including a luminophore and protecting groups, and five or more protecting groups are included in one molecule of the guest material. The introduction of the protecting groups into the molecule inhibits energy transfer of triplet excitation energy by the Dexter mechanism from the host material to the guest material. As the protecting group, an alkyl group or a branched-chain alkyl group is used.-

Abstract: An object of one embodiment of the present invention is to provide a novel organic compound. The organic compound is a triarylamine derivative. The triarylamine derivative has an aryl group including a skeleton in which a naphthyl group is bonded to a naphthylene group. The other two aryl groups are each independently a phenyl group, a biphenyl group, or a terphenyl group. These groups may each have a substituent. As the substituent, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms can be selected.
