    摘要: A headlamp for vehicles has a lens and a parabolic reflector which are made of synthetic resin and which are joined together by heat. A composite, light scattering reflector for scattering or spreading the light to be concentrated to the upper and central portion of the lens to an extend that no glare is generated, is arranged at the upper and central portion of the parabolic reflector. The composite reflector may be integrally formed with the main parabolic reflector, or may be a separate element joined to the main parabolic reflector.

    摘要: A vehicle light with a bulb arranged sideway is provided which can reduce a length of the entire light without a deterioration in its brightness and with a simple configuration. The vehicle light can include a light source arranged sideway on an optical axis extending horizontally in the front-to-rear direction of a vehicle. First and second projection lenses can be arranged in front of the light source above and below the optical axis. First and second reflecting surfaces can be provided for reflecting light emitted from the light source to the respective first and second projection lenses. A third reflecting surface can be provided for reflecting light emitted upward from the light source toward the area below the light source. A plane mirror can also be provided and configured to direct light reflected from the third reflecting surface toward the rear focus of the second projection lens.

    摘要: There is provided a lamp comprising a light source, a horizontal double ellipsoidal reflector composed of two reflecting surface units joined horizontally in opposing relation to each other and each formed from a spheroid, and aspheric lenses. Each of the two reflecting surface units is formed by cutting, radially around the center axis of the light source, a portion from the spheroid having a first focal point located on the center axis and adjacent the light source and a second focal point located on a line passing through the first focal point and tilted appropriately from the light-source center axis such that the cut portion spans, around the center axis, a range of 5.degree. to 9.degree. in either vertical direction from a horizontal line. The aspheric lenses are provided horizontally to correspond to the respective second focal points of the reflecting surface units of the ellipsoidal reflector and converge reflected light beams from the respective reflecting surface units. It is also possible to provide a horizontal triple ellipsoidal reflector further comprising a central reflecting surface unit formed from a spheroid and located at the center portion thereof in addition to the two reflecting surface units each formed of a cut portion spanning a range of 5.degree. to 6.degree. around the center axis.

The width of a light distribution is expanded by the expansion reflecting mirrors and a spot high-illuminance portion is generated in the light distribution by the auxiliary reflecting mirror to expand a field of view.

    摘要: It was found that a new fusion gene of a portion of the KIF5B gene and a portion of the RET gene, which is present in a portion of cancer patients, is a gene responsible for cancer. Based on this finding, detection methods of a polynucleotide as the gene and a polypeptide encoded by the polynucleotide were established. The detection methods involve detecting a fusion gene of a portion of the KIF5B gene and a portion of the RET gene, or a fusion protein encoded by such a fusion gene. The primer sets and the detection kits comprise sense primers designed from a portion encoding KIF5B and antisense primers designed from a portion encoding RET.

    摘要: A lighting device with a stable high light intensity can effectively dissipate heat generated by an LED so that the light emission efficiency does not deteriorate while the inside temperature distribution can be maintained in an even state. The lighting device can also be configured to prevent snow from adhering onto an outer lens by allowing an outer surface temperature of the lighting device to rise during actuation of the device. The lighting device can also be configured to improve light utilization efficiency. The lighting device can include a semiconductor light emitting device as a light source and can include structure(s) that guides the emission light to a projection lens. The semiconductor light emitting device can be configured to emit light in a reverse or opposed direction with respect to an illumination direction for the lighting device. A projection lens can be disposed in front of the semiconductor light emitting device. An elliptic reflector can be configured to reflect light from the semiconductor light emitting device and to direct the light to the projection lens. A lens holder can be made of metal and the semiconductor light emitting device and the projection lens can be disposed on the lens holder.
