摘要: In order to enable the appropriate amount of understeer to be produced in a suspension wherein the rear wheel is steered to produce a toe-in effect by a lateral rod/knuckle arm arrangement, a device which in some embodiments is hydraulically controlled and in others is mechanical, permits distortion of the elastomeric bushes which form part of the suspension unit to produce a relatively large amount of understeer at high speeds and restricts the distortion at lower speeds to reduce the amount of understeer to a level suitable for that speed.

摘要: Opposing concave structures formed in an end portion 22b of a stator yoke 22 and an end portion 23b of a magnetic core 23 are mated in a staggered manner and are joined. An upper projecting portion 22b-1 of the stator yoke 22 is fitted in a recessed portion formed on a lower projecting portion 23b-2 of the magnetic core 23, and the lower projecting portion 23b-2 of the magnetic core 23 is fitted in a recessed portion formed under the upper projecting portion 22b-1 of the stator yoke 22. In this state, the stator yoke 22 and the magnetic core 23 are fixedly fastened by a joint screw 24 and a tube 26. This structure makes it possible to reduce magnetic resistance in a magnetic circuit structure and to improve power-generating efficiency of a power-generating device using the structure.

摘要: An electronic timepiece charging device for charging an electronic timepiece comprising: a generator for converting external energy into electric energy; a secondary power source for storing the electric energy generated by the generator; a timepiece driving circuit for performing a time-keeping operation; and a time display circuit for displaying time information from the timepiece driving circuit, wherein, the timepiece driving circuit is connected in parallel to the secondary power source; and the secondary power source comprises an equivalent capacitive component for storing an electric charge and a resistive component formed by a part of the equivalent capacitive component. The resistance value of the resistive component is set to a value such that a voltage drop is caused, whereby when the generator generates a current equal to or greater than a predetermined value, a voltage to be applied to the timepiece driving circuit by the generator is equal to or greater than the lowest operation starting voltage.

摘要: A multifunctional electronic watch of the present invention displays data measured by a built-in atmospheric pressure sensor by means of a small atmospheric pressure pointer and an atmospheric pressure pointer. It is also capable of displaying a differential between the present atmospheric pressure and an atmospheric pressure three hours before by means of an atmospheric pressure tendency pointer. A dial ring attached around a clockface of the watch is formed with an atmospheric pressure scale, on the outer periphery of which is a rotation bezel formed with a height scale. The built-in sensor is accommodated in the watch so as not to project from the rotation bezel of the watch. Accordingly, an electronic watch which has additional functions of indicating environmental data such as atmospheric pressure without complicating the constitution can be realized.

摘要: A semiconductor chip is positioned over the device hole of a circuit board which includes an insulating flexible substrate. The electrode bumps of the semiconductor chip are bonded to the lead portions of the conductive pattern, which protrude into the device hole by using the single-point bonding method. The circuit board includes superimposing areas of the substrate that overlie the semiconductor chip at the four corner areas of the device hole, as well as the superimposing area that divides the device hole into the four holes. Dummy bumps are provided on the areas of the semiconductor chip that overlap these superimposing areas. The dummy bumps are not to be bonded to the conductive pattern and are positioned between the circuit board and the semiconductor chip to maintain a specified distance between the two. Furthermore, a through-hole is provided in the superimposing area to allow air to escape when a molding agent is injected through the holes.

摘要: An automotive suspension system includes a height control system for controlling vehicle height and a damping force adjusting system for adjusting damping force produced by a shock absorber. The height control system and the damping force adjusting system are coordinated such that the damping force is decreased when the height control system shifts the vehicle body upwards, and the damping force is increased when the height control system shifts the vehicle body downwards. Furthermore, the height control system is responsive to the height of the vehicle body and the vehicle speed to shift the vehicle body up and down so that the vehicle body is held to within a predetermined range of height.

摘要: In an electronic apparatus including a generator device for generating power, a storage device for storing the generated electric energy, and a motor driven by the electric energy stored in the storage device, it is detected whether a magnetic field is generated by power generation. If it is detected that a magnetic field is generated by power generation, a correcting driving-pulse signal having an effective power larger than a normal driving-pulse signal, which is output for controlling the driving of the motor, is output to the motor. In performing this operation, a determination is made by assuming that a magnetic field is generated while the storage device is in the charging state.
