摘要: A condenser system includes a collapsible container bag bounding a compartment and having an upper end and an opposing lower end, the container bag being formed of a polymeric film and being adapted to hold a fluid. A condenser bag is formed of a polymeric film and bounds a channel that extends between a first end and an opposing second end, the first end of the condenser bag being fluid coupled with the upper end of the container bag. A tubular transfer line has a first end coupled with the condenser bag at a first location so as to communicate with the channel and an opposing second end coupled with the condenser bag at a second location located between the container bag and the first location so as to communicate with the channel.

摘要: The improved method and apparatus treats the stack gases from a commercial bakery oven to remove and recover pollutants, specifically ethyl alcohol. The method includes the steps of cooling the stack gases and passing the cooled gases through a packed column to condense the water and ethyl alcohol and if the ethyl alcohol is to be recovered drying the ethyl alcohol by distillation and by absorption of the water therefrom by a molecular sieve. The apparatus includes blowers and controls to maintain the normal flow of gases from the oven so that the removal and recovery of the ethyl alcohol from the stack gases does not interfere or change the baking conditions of the oven. This may be accomplished by a system of dampers or by controlling the discharge rate of the blowers used.

摘要: A gas which is the most readily condensable of the gases of a mixture is separated by passing the mixture in contact with at least one microporous barrier having a permeability of 100.times.10.sup.-7 to 1000.times.10.sup.-7 moles of air/cm.sup.2 /min./cmHg, a pore thickness of 10 to 100 A, by adjusting the partial pressure of the most readily condensable gas and/or the temperature of the gas mixture as a function of the mean pore radius of the barrier in order to ensure capillary condensation of the condensable gas at the pore inlets of the barrier and to induce a flow of condensed gas along the pores and across the barrier, the gas which has thus condensed being then collected.

摘要: The process of separating water and wash oil from a gaseous feed stream of water vapor, wash oil and light oil involving (a) directing the gaseous feed stream in an upward direction and in contact with a cooling solid surface such that a temperature gradient of the gaseous stream is produced such that the temperature of the gaseous stream is highest at the bottom of the cooling solid surface such that gaseous components of the gaseous stream having the highest boiling temperature condense onto the lower portions of the cooling solid surface and wherein the lower boiling components of the gaseous stream condense onto the solid surface at higher portions on the solid surface to thereby form a liquid film on the solid surface, which film then runs downward onto the lower portions of the solid surface to thereby inhibit deposits from adhering to these lower portions of the solid surface; (b) withdrawing a gaseous stream containing a major portion of light oil; and (c) withdrawing a liquid condensate which contains substantially all of the wash oil and a major portion of the water originally present in the gaseous stream. Preferably, a portion of the high boiling components of the light oil is also condensed on the cooling solid surface and then removed from the gaseous stream as part of the liquid condensate.
