    Abstract: Disclosed is a preparation system and a preparation method for high-quality xylitol crystals. The preparation system comprises a blending tank, a heat exchanger, a decolorization tank, an ion exchange system, a microporous filter, a first evaporator, a first crystallization kettle, a first centrifuge, a fluidization drying bed, a xylitol dissolution tank, a second evaporator, a second crystallization kettle, a second centrifuge, a hot air drying tank, and a cold air fluidization bed sequentially connected through pipelines. Liquid outlet of the first centrifuge is connected with first inlet of the blending tank. Liquid outlet of the second centrifuge is connected with first inlet of the xylitol dissolution tank. The blending tank is provided with second inlet for receiving xylitol hydrogenation solution. The xylitol dissolution tank is provided with water inlet for pure water. The material output from a product outlet of the cold air fluidization bed is xylitol crystal product. First prepared xylitol crystals are redissolved and recrystallized to prepare xylitol crystals with higher pH and better flavor.

    Abstract: Process and reaction system for the preparation of methanol. The process comprises the steps of (a) providing a fresh methanol synthesis gas containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide; (b)) introducing and reacting the fresh methanol synthesis gas stream in a first methanol reaction unit in presence of a methanol catalyst and obtaining a first effluent stream containing methanol and unconverted synthesis gas; (c) providing a recycle gas stream containing the unconverted methanol synthesis gas contained in the first effluent stream and unconverted methanol synthesis gas from a second methanol reaction unit; (d) introducing and reacting the recycle gas stream in the second methanol reaction unit in presence of a methanol catalyst; (e) withdrawing a second effluent stream containing methanol and the unconverted methanol synthesis gas from the second methanol reaction unit; (f)) combining the first and a part of the second effluent stream; (g) cooling and separating the combined effluent into a methanol-containing liquid stream and the recycle stream; and (h) withdrawing the remaining part of the second effluent stream a purge gas stream,wherein the remaining part of he second effluent stream is withdrawn as a purge gas stream prior to combining the first and second effluent stream.

    Abstract: A process for the recovery of ethylene glycol from an aqueous stream comprising ethylene glycol is disclosed. The process comprises (a) subjecting an aqueous stream 5 comprising ethylene glycol to an evaporation step in a multiple-effect evaporator to obtain a concentrated stream comprising ethylene glycol; (b) subjecting said concentrated stream comprising ethylene glycol to a first dehydration step in a first dehydrator 10 operating at an overhead pressure in the range of 0 barg (bar gauge) to 4 barg (bar gauge) to obtain a partially dehydrated ethylene glycol stream, and (c) subjecting said partially dehydrated ethylene glycol stream to a second dehydration step in a second dehydrator operating under 15 vacuum to obtain a dehydrated ethylene glycol stream.

    Abstract: A method for extracting polyol from a fermentation process is disclosed. The preparing method includes rectifying and purifying PDO (1,3-propanediol) from a polyol fermentation broth after concentration to form a steam condensate, wherein the concentration is a evaporative dehydration; and filtering the steam condensate through a reverse osmosis membrane to form a concentrated solution, wherein the retentate of the reverse osmosis flows back to the evaporative dehydration, and the penetrant of the reverse osmosis can be reused as a fermentation ingredient, as cleaning water or for sewage treatment; and the water content of the concentrated solution after the evaporative dehydration is 5-25 wt %; and the yield of PDO is ≥99.5%. The preparing method meets the requirements of water resources recycling, reduces the production loss of PDO and BDO (2,3-butanediol) during the concentration, and greatly cuts down on the amount of wastewater.
