The steering shaft assembly also includes a ring flag having an annular band seated on said ring flag seat, a flag extending axially from said annular band in a first direction beyond said first end and radially outwardly from said annular band, and a second ring flag locating feature extending axially from said annular band in a second direction opposite said first direction, said second ring flag locating feature interacting with said first ring flag locating feature to orient said ring flag in a predetermined rotational orientation relative to said shaft.

摘要: A tube is used in fiber-reinforced plastic power transmission shaft. The tube comprises: a cylindrical body section; a connection portion that has a larger diameter than the body section; and an inclined portion that has an outer diameter that increases toward the second connection section from the main body part. The inclined section has formed thereon, a weak section that is damaged when a load input in the axial direction exceeds a prescribed value. With this configuration, the cost of the tube can be reduced, and when a prescribed load is input to the tube in the axial direction, the tube is reliably damaged.

摘要: A double cardan constant velocity joint including a housing extending between a housing first end and a housing second end. 摘要: A drive unit is disclosed that includes case portions, a gasket interposed between the case portions, shafts, bearings having respective bearing races, and a bearing shim plate. One shaft includes an input oil tube which provides a fluid pathway between the bearing shim plate and a rotor of the drive unit. Interposed between bearings, and the bearing shim plate, are shims. An approach for sizing shims for use with a drive unit is also disclosed, the approach including determining the distance from a mating flange of a case portion, to different bearing races, selecting shims based on the determined distances, and attaching the bearing shim plate to the case portion with shims interposed therebetween.

The receiving space defines a longitudinal axis, and two sealing washers which are spaced apart axially from one another and have in each case one central opening for receiving a drive component. The supporting ring is arranged between the two sealing washers. The sealing washers have in each case one groove which extends concentrically with respect to the longitudinal axis. The supporting ring engages into the two grooves of the sealing washers.

Additionally, the drivetrain assembly may include a shaft received within the pillow block bearing assembly, with the shaft extending through the bearing such that an outer circumferential surface of the shaft directly contacts an inner circumferential surface of an inner race of the bearing at a bearing/shaft interface defined between the shaft and the bearing. Moreover, a sliding fit may be defined between the outer circumferential surface of the shaft and the inner circumferential surface of the inner race at the bearing/shaft interface such that the shaft is allowed to slide axially relative to the bearing when a given axial load is applied through the shaft.
