The system receives a single control signal designed for a hydraulic system comprising hydraulic actuators operably connected to a single fluid reservoir and configured to work in tandem to produce simultaneous and opposite axial movements. The system comprises a control interface adapted to produce new control signals, each new signal being intended to a different electrical actuator to cause the electrical actuators to have axial movements which are identical in speed and in opposite directions to substantially imitate the exact movement of the hydraulic actuators onto the gate operating ring. The system is configured to introduce a dampening effect to reduce sudden acceleration and deceleration which is purposely used in hydraulic systems to overcome friction and static effects.

The present invention provides improved methods, apparatus, and manufacture for an Archimedes Screw using a strake design as a blade to increase the volume of water raised or lowered by about 10%. The invention, in part, alters the shape of the blades within the screw from a helicoid shape to a strake shape. A helicoid blade in an Archimedes Screw has been used since antiquity and has not changed since then, limiting the efficiency and manufacturing process. The strake shape allows a greater quantity of water to be contained within the screw and is a developable surface that enables easier fabrication than the helicoid shape.

A hydraulic power generation device includes a water passage unit which has a high end and a low end, and multiple water turbines are located above the water passage unit. Multiple containers are located beneath the water passage unit and located corresponding to the water turbines respectively. The water passage unit has an inlet and an outlet located corresponding to each of the containers. The inlet and the outlet communicate with the room of the container corresponding thereto. When one of the water turbines or the electric power generator needs to be maintained, the seal of the inlet is opened and the water flows to the water passage unit via the outlet to drive the water turbines behind the damaged water turbine. The hydraulic power generation device is still under operation while one of the water turbines is under maintenance.

A method for deployment of the underwater power generator is also described.

The elastic couple rotor turning gear is characterized in that an elastic support is mounted on a frame of the driven device, a casing being connected to the elastic support, a casing cover being firmly fixed on the casing, a speed reducer and an electric motor being installed on the cover, an output shaft of the speed reducer extending into the casing under the casing cover, the output shaft having a pinion gear mounted thereon and meshed with a gear body of a bull gear positioned in the casing, the bull gear being connected to a shaft coupling through parallel keys via a key seat or an upright post, and the shaft coupling being fixed on a rotor of the driven device. The advantages of the invention is that the structure is more reasonable, the concentricity may be adjusted more conveniently, the elastic connection makes operation easy and vibration small, deformation caused by suspending arms is eliminated, and operation's accuracy and precision are improved because the gears may be meshed and operated smoothly.
