    摘要: Processes are provided for the adhering together of articles employing vitrifiable adhesives. According to a preferred embodiment, two or more articles are contacted with a polymerizable adhesive comprising a particulate, inorganic filler and a polymerizable resin comprising at least 0.25% by weight of the adhesive of a polymerizable silane. The adhesive is then polymerized and the polymerized adhesive heated to afford a vitrified bond.

    摘要: A reclaimed ceramic starting material is produced from scrap generated in a method for producing a cordierite ceramic body. The scrap is an unnecessary part generated in a cutting step of cutting a dried ceramic molded article into a predetermined length or a defective dried ceramic molded article generated in a drying step of drying an extruded ceramic material. The scrap is crushed. From a powder obtaind by crushing, at least particles smaller than the predetermined size are removed to produce a reclaimed powder having a particle size within a predetermined size range. The reclaimed powder is used as a reclaimed ceramic starting material. Instead of crushing, the scrap may be fired at a temperature where a contained binder can burn away to obtain a reclaimed powder. The reclaimed ceramic starting material ensures no deterioration in the quality of a cordierite ceramic body produced therefrom.

    摘要: A process for metallizing a ceramic green sheet having via holes or recessed grooves formed therein by depositing a mask forming material over the green sheet, the mask forming material being non-wettable by a composition, either conductive or nonconductive, to be subsequently deposited in the via holes or recessed grooves. After the depositing step, a metal paste is spread or wiped into the vias and grooves and then the sheets are laminated and fired to form a multi-layer ceramic interconnection package whereby the mask forming material is volatized and eliminated from the structure without the necessity of removing the mask forming material in the conventional etching or peeling away methods.
